The Challenge
To get new players to come to The Poker Room and play live poker - special emphasis on men who play poker at home online or with their friends.
The Resource
Offer an incentive two kinds of players:
  • The player who plays online often
  • The "interested" person who does not know how to play Poker
Both groups may be intimidated by playing with live players at The Poker Room.
The Idea
We developed a “Rookie Night” promotion where we invited new players out every Wednesday, hosted by a Rock 105 personality
  • One hour free learning tournament
  • Each Weds. the two rookies with the most chips each win $40 to take out on the floor and play for real.
  • Weekly on-air and online ad schedules - and a custom Poker Channel on the Rock105i.com website
The Results
Averaging 40 new players each week!

Also have built loyal following to become regular customers of The Poker Room.

The campaign has been extended to run through January 2010.
