The opportunity to perform live on stage in its entirety the whole of 'BRITISH STEEL' is a dream come true for all of us! We're really excited and looking forward to presenting the album live on stage - fans will be able to enjoy a taste of true heavy metal when it was in its early, raw state! said the group in a statement. What others are saying
- Whitesnake CancelsThis sucks for Judas Priest and Jacksonville. They were already struggling to sell tickets here in the first place, about two thousand sold to date, and now Ticketmaster is offering full refunds- which they should. What's disturbing though, is the fact that this tour has been averaging 8-10 thousand a night in most American markets, including 9,000 last night in Denver where Coverdale blew out his vocal chords, and they would have been lucky to draw a third of that figure here. Now, without Whitesnake, they'll probably draw less then two thousand which is an embarrassment. Yeah, we're getting AC/DC but we seem snakebit when it comes to Hard Rock/Heavy Metal shows. The sasquatch dude is correct.
- To Lee!Can you do that in public?
- Luv!Tommy you come on out and stop by the Rock Tent and I'll put some luv on ya! GGGGRRRRR!
- To Lee!I'd like to show you some love!
- Judas Priest/WhitesnakeHope to see you all @ the concert! Come show your Rock Babes some LUV!!!
- JUDAS PRIEST !!! HEAVY ''METAL'' GODS !!! 4-EVER...I HAVE ''ROCK N ROLLA'' RECORD FROM 1974- HOOK ME UP TO GET IT SIGNED BY THE PRIEST...THANKS... THE WILDMAN...ROCKS...
- Rob Halford and Judas PriestBought two tickets today- Section 203 Row S. MANY more tickets available. I can't believe that the Counting Freakin' Crowes are outselling the kings of metal. I guess that's Jacksonville for you.
- ROCK 'N' ROLLHe's right, man. We need to step up to the plate for this one. We need more ROCK!
- The PriestJacksonville hard rock/heavy metal fans need to step up to the plate and buy tickets to this show. I know the economy is bad and everything but this is the ONLY decent hard rock show performing here this summer. Plus, the venue only seats four thousand so there's no excuse to sell this show out. I, for one, am tired of tours bypassing this town because of the "redneck" stigma we have in this area. AC/DC, Aerosmith/ZZ Top, STYX/REO/.38, Def Leppard/Poison, CrueFest and Heaven And Hell (Sabbath w/Dio) are just a few of the names on tour this summer that will NOT be performing here despite the fact we basically have a brand new fourteen thousand seat arena in downtown. The fact is the arena has become a showplace for country acts and very few rock acts, which is quite sad for a city of this size. I recently attended the Steely Dan concert in St. Augustine (killer concert and venue) and was fortunate to meet and have a conversation with a member of the amphitheater's advisory board. He informed me straight up that if the Judas Priest/Whitesnake concert does well, they will get MORE hard rock/metal acts to perform there. So PLEASE Jacksonville, let's show these promoters that we can still rock out and draw crowds like we did in the eighties. And yes, I practice what I preach: I bought two pairs of tickets last week and will be making the two hour drive to St. Augustine on August 15. I hope to see four thousand heavy metal maniacs there. Peace out, brothers and sisters.
