The Greaseman
He's a trucker turned Boss Jock and he's back in the land of the real man! Greaseman first broke onto the scene here in Jax back in the 70's. After a roller coaster career took him all over the country, he decided to return to his roots and light the airwaves on fire back here on the First Coast.
Jake Mitchell
Jake is the producer for the Greaseman's show. You can hear him from time to time laughing at the insanity that is being spewed all over the microphone. Jake enjoys taking long naked walks on the beach, and hanging out at the Poker Room...but mostly the naked beach walk thing.

The Greaseman Scrapbook:
If you have ever been out to an event with The Greaseman and said "Cheese" for the camera, chances are your picture will end up here! We used to have a lot more pictures in this section until Estelle threatened legal action over the spicy photos of her mother that Grease took on vacation.

The Greaseman Video Vault:
From time to time here at Rock 105 we ask the Doodad Daddy to strap on his silver screen face and ham it up for the video cameras at the station. Most of the time we end up having to go to court to defend The Greaseman in a lawsuit, but sometimes we get some fun footage. This is where you can find it.

The GreaseCAST:
It's the ONLY official Greaseman podcast in the world, and you'll find it right here. We take the 4-hour Greaseman show, strip out the classic rock that really rocks, and the commercials, and what you get is non-stop shriekery! You can choose whether to stream or download.

Idle Thoughts of a Bulky Man
If you ask anybody, you'll find the Greaseman is hands-down the funniest boss jock on radio. But what happens when he turns off the sound effects machine, and gets real? Click the link to get to know your favorite DJ on a more personal level. Hear his philosophies on life, women, and more.

Eddie Farah on The Greaseman Show
Listen Tuesdays at 5pm as Eddie Farah joins the Greaseman. I'm sure you know The Greaseman is one wise guy, literally. His friend Eddie Farah, even more wise and he's on Grease's show to answer your legal questions.

  • Funny is funny
When as a teen in D.C. I first heard Grease slip-slide across the airwaves I knew it was funny but didn't always know why. Ehem... now I do. Glad I found you again.
  • Learning is Important
I applaud the way Grease tells people to stop using "useless interrogatories," such as "right?", while telling stories.
  • Nice!
When I found out the true meaning of "wobble doo gee," I about died.
  • The greatest returns
Nino Greasmanelli, Man its good to hear you back on the air my friend! Miss you up here in the ATL! They need to syndicat and get you here again brother. Watch the gloppy rain keep up the great work

    Jon C

  • Found ya!
Nino, it's been a long time since DC101, but you're still the best!!! Keep shriekin' One day I'll share my hobble story.
  • @ Nah
Thank you for posting your opinion on the site. It takes a 'Real' man to post his name... Or are your afraid?
  • Umm...
    You're a piece of sh*t
  • BINGO!
Nino, Great to hear you again on PodCast! I used to listen in DC while I was at Andrews AFB, even went to a live show. Serving in Germany now and thanks to the Internet, I can hear your show. Keep shreiking you fudgepackin, tuna fish eating, doo-dad slapping Boss Jock!!

  • Love u bro!
    WADLLEDIDLEDODDUMDIDDLEDODLDIDUMDAY!!!!!
    :-)

    come back to D.C!!!

    105.9 is looking for a morning "Boss-Jock"

    Keep it up bro!!!

You made my high school days (mid 80's) so fun...we abused your jokes!!

    From a Lawman!!!

    Peace
  • Myspace Friend?
First off, The lean tube needs re-enforcement, the snow is getting deep, we miss you up here! It is nice to hear you shriekin' and reekin' online...
You wont be my friend on myspace? why not? I put up mountain music and this is the thanks I get! I send friend requests and you just buff me off? WTF? You forget your roots man?
    Love ya anyways..
    Puddle T. RoWdine
  • Same Old Grease
I heard you in the 80's and you sound the same, like you are still doing the same bits. We can hear all the static from the cassette tape when you recorded them the first time 30 years ago. Zibble zee zoo... STOP!
  • Johny Bulky
Good to see you're still Shreiking. ROWYCO!
  • The Grease Man I Finally found you!
I used to listen to all of your shows when i was a kid I got all of the jokes then laughed my doodads off and they are still great today, relevant as ever. As a comedian actor and personality you have always been a strong influence on my passion for the character driven platform work you do, great job all these years It's nice to see some people are smart enough to still have you on the air!
  • Creative person
I have missed you Grease, not because I loved some of the insanity you made on the radio (although I do enjoy that). I missed you because I miss creativity on the airwaves. I'm sick to death of poorly presented news-weather-sports. I'm tired of snide whatsupwiththat attempts at 'funny'. I genuinely enjoyed what you tried to do (which was different and creative) and I'm glad you are doing it again. I only get down to FLA a couple of times a year but I'll surely tune in if I'm near JAX.
  • Fan since the 80's
GREASE !!!!!! You keep me feeling young !!!! From the Wash DC*** days !!!
    WADLLEDIDLEDODDUMDIDDLEDODLDIDUMDAY!!!!!
    :-)
  • Thank God for the internet
So great to hear the Grease live up in Maryland
  • fello lawman
Any chance of getting your program up in N.Y. You always put on a great show.
  • Painful
I don't get it. You're not very funny and you make strange noises - like DJ's did 20 years ago. You struggle to keep in character and use your horrible "show voice." I guess you're perfect for the undereducated, redneck radio market here in Jacksonville. I even find myself choosing to listen to Hannity over you and I HATE Sean Hannity.
  • Wobble
The day I realized what Wobble Doo Gee was, well that just made the Greaseman all the better. You sir are a genius.
  • Missed In Maryland
Grease you were the man to help us get going for the work day. If the market ever calls for you here. SHOW UP FOR US !
  • Nino Greaseminelli
I am so glad to find and listen to you daily on streamin' audio here in Virginia! I was a long time listener to you through the 80's. You keep me smiling...
  • Happy New Year, Greaseman!
Best wishes for a happy New Year!

We still miss you in NY. Wish you were here -- I remember the ole KRock days with you very well!
  • Glad you're on again
great to hear you back. definitely will be listening. people must learn not to take themselves too seriously. you just the one too teach that.
  • RADIO
GLAD YER BACK ON BUT WISH YA WAS STILL HERE IN DC !!! WE NEED A LAWMAN TA STRAIGHTEN UP THIS BUNCH WE GOT IN POWER NOW !!
  • It is great to hear you again! I was a long time DC101 listener.
  • You are awesome!!!
I have been listening to your show for some time now.. you are right on the money... I am a retired stripper..LOL..and know where you are coming from... I have heard it all and tried it all.... way to go, Grease!!!!
  • greaseman
I used to listen to youin the mornings back in the 1980,s from here in Western Maryland when you were on DC 101 in Washington. You were always a great way to start out the day. YYoun were always hilarious and played the best classic rock tunes. Those where good days.Miss you up this way. Keep om rockin.
  • GREASE!!! your still out there!!
listened to you 25+ years ago on DC/101. Googled you last night and glad to hear your still doing the same bits!!! Good to hear you again!!!! :)
  • Wordsmith
Grease, you're the man! and I thought I was a wordsmith. Speedy Gonzalez has got nothing on you!
  • Greaseman
Glad to be steered in the right direction! The radio hasn't been the same without you...or maybe I was never sane...hmmmmm
  • Stern sucks
Now that Stern in space, when are comming back to N.Y.

Z93 in Atlanta has not been the same without the Greaseman! Miss hearing you on the way to work. Finally found you online here. 105 now has a new online listener. Keep on being you!
  • great to hear you!
Old listener...dc. I found you when driving down to Delray Beach. Listen online now. Happy Holidays. Keep doin it!!
  • you're the best
Grease, these young punks dont know GREAT radio. Listened to you when you were on dc101 and again when you came back. Loved all the bits I spent every morning laughing my ass off.Just found you on this station cant wait to listen on line.Living in Columbia SC now. Keep up the shreeking, schweet
  • Happy Holidays & Thanks for the Greasecasts!
Jake - your hard work and dedication are much appreciated. Some folks may whine about things, but I assure you we all realize that commercial-free Greasecasts don't make themselves. Thank you!!...and lets all hope for a Very Greasy 2010. AMF
  • @ Paul
Your are right! And using your wisdom, I have put your Grandfather out to pasture as well.

As you said Paul, "Let it go..."
  • @ Rob
Rob, thank you for your comment.

Apparently, we forgot to get the "Rules" from you on how to make a radio station successful. Who knew that breaking from traditional ways would be a bad thing...

You are a truly the smartest person on this here Earth. Praise Rob!!!!!
  • Just wanna rock out
Not only do I think that you're not that funny, making dumb noises, but you're killing the (Rock) in Rock105. Its no longer a rock station with some commentary; it's now a talk show with some music. When I'm driving down the highway after work, I wanna rock, not listen to a guy go "boom-wack-shabooz". Dont care for BTLS either, but he's in the moring (when talking should be -if at all) and dont really hear him anyway.
  • You're the best! Bud, bud, buddy, budda bud, bud, buudday! AMF!
  • old timer
grease is an old timer-let it go!!!
  • nuts
grease does a good job but dont have the nuts like bubba
  • You're the best
Finally tracking you down Buddy. Atlanta radio misses your basso profundo. Thanks Rock105 for keep us connected.
  • Greaseman Amphitheater Veteran
Saw you in Rockville when we had the pleasure of getting tickets to the GMan Amphitheater. You did the "Lets go over and see how the girls are making out" line. I fell off the stool into the dirty, stinkin' tunafish. You are a very talented performer and a real gentleman. A legend in your own time.
Saw you in Martinsburg at the Sportsbar. Left when the bikers started blushing and staring at their feet. I am a US Navy veteran and worked around construction for 40 years but you taught me some tricks.
Keep on rockin'. You brighten more days than you can imagine. Glad I found you. I got a lead from some Maryland employees.
  • YEEHAW
Love that rock105 has you on the WEB STREAM. LOTS of loyal listeners like me will follow everyday. Old schooler from DC101&Arrow days......Love YA!!!
  • Te amo
I've been listening to your painfully funny show since i was, maybe 16...
MY GOD! You seem to be the only man who really makes me happy Grease!
    -Imelda
  • Greaseman
Grease! You're the Best. Miss you in Maryland.
  • Grease is best

  • n/a
your a kick ass mother fucker i listened to you every day when i was in jacksonville and cant wait to hear you crazy ass during my break at christmas
  • time slots
any possibility that you and bubba could switch time slots so I can listen in the morning? His show totally blows - I can't stand it and have to just turn it off....
  • Been listenin' for over 25 years
Grease, keep going strong and never stop. Ever since I heard the Fudgepacker Olypmics back in the 80's, I have been hooked. Go man, Go!!!
  • Damn we miss you in DC!!
Man I was listening to you in DC when you were at DC101. I found you on the internet and listen to you at work! How is it in JAX? I may have to come down there!!!
  • Hope to hear from you
Call sometime I'd love to hear from you!
  • Damn, Grease, I'm listening to your bits of the day on my PC and I miss you here in Atlanta SO much. You actually commented on my freakishly large bulk once, and I made you and Marcia laugh together when I was gonna swing by and have you BOTH sign the hydraulics! All the best, my friend
  • Long time fan
So great to have found you again!!! Been a big fan since DC 101 days. Wished we could get you up here in Disgusta, Ga. Thank GOD for the Grease-Casts !!!
  • Bul Go Gee
Hey Grease, I couldn't stop thinking about your saying last night when my Korean girlfriend made Bul Go Gee which led to several Hobble Du Gee's.
  • SPECIAL NOTIFICATION
The date of the upcoming Branch Doodadian meeting will be announced within a fortnight.
  • 26 years of listening enjoyment
God the book I could write with your advice Nino.
  • Great To Find You
    Hey Grease
I fan since the DC101 days. Great to find you since i moved to Ga. Will be listening!!!
  • negative comments by people who don't like him.
Why would you write a negative comment? Because you negative people deep down inside like the Greaseman. Wouldn't take the time, just tune to anther station, very basic. Been Listening to Greaseman for a long time when he was with DC 101 and he made me laugh and brighten my drive in the mornings. So buzz off you negative people. Wish you had his fame and wealth. P.S. His apple got polished or his helmet got shined more times then you farted.
  • music
yuck, a music show....i wanted to hear a greasy show. i can hear the music i want anytime, anywhere.......i need grease, not a box of records
  • The Grease man
Wish he was back in Atlanta.
  • Getttin' On 'The Edge'?
Hey, Grease, DCRTV Dave is using your holy name in vain in the Mailbag rumor mill......*wink*wink*
  • There you are!
Listened to in DC back in the day and missed the hell outta you. Happy to have found you again!!!!!!!!! You rock!
  • Talent
The Greaseman's real talent is in his interactions with people, where he shares his wisdom and ideas. The man could spend his entire show just taking calls from people with personal issues and that would be enough. Love you Grease!
  • to baron of bulk
I agree, he is the master! That's why he needs to use his talent. You and I could sit in the studio and play old bits.
  • "Let's just walk down and do 'em all"
The Grease is just like the punch line to that old joke about two bulls looking down over a herd of cows, when the younger one says "Let's run down there an get us one of them cows"
The Grease is the best and NOBODY even comes close. Rock on Grease!
  • "let's just walk down..."
The GREASE is like the punch line in the old joke about two bulls overlooking a herd of cows. "Lets just walk down and do 'em all." He is still the king of cool, wisdom and funny as he ever was, if not better. Rock on Grease!
  • Grease
Listen to you on dc101 and others, listener of many years - the last time around my son and I remodeled a house purchased for him and it really made our day to listen. You enterained us and many for years in our area and we miss that. Rock on.
  • Da GreaseMan Rocks
Been Listening for years, ROCK ON DUDE
Keep those Dooo Dads Swiiiiiingggggin !!!
  • to Dave
Grease is the absolute master of the medium and has nothing to prove to you. I would rather hear his classic bits any day over all the other drivel on the airwaves today. The guy busts his ass to entertain and never asks for anything in return. Either listen or don't; but give the man a break...he is a legend.
  • We miss you here in Atl!
All we have are the reg. guy. I think you need to take a massive on them.
  • He must be old
I remember when all his stuff was original. Now all he does is plays taped bits. Where is the originality that made you great?
  • See ya!
    Later Greaseman! The Cowhead looms....
  • See ya!
    Later Grease! The Cowhead Cometh.......
  • just love the program lets rock!!!!!!
  • oops--my bad
I figured it out. Was just kidding about Happy Fingers
  • I.T. happy fingers & Design software?
I could be listening to the Greaseman, But no! I have to figure out how to make the media player work all over again with this new format.
  • Do you have a current picture?
    do you?
  • Can not stand the Greaseman
How can anyone tolerate his horrible voice and stupid little "plays"? I no longer listen to Rock 105 in the afternoon.
  • dc 101
Was there and loved to listen each day. wish you were in bama now. i retired from military in 95 and lost where you were. keep rocking and tell those viet nam stories. thanks

    Will you marry me????/hhahah
  • Airplane Etiquette
Just played your podcast on 'Airplane Etiquette' & it appears you have been heard!!

    http://blogs.moneycentral.msn.com/smartspending/archive/2009/02/27/airline-might-charge-for-bathroom-use.aspx

Ryanair is planning to charge air travelers for bathroom use.
  • The NYC area needs some Grease, too!
There is nothing at all useful during PM drive time. That's why we need the Grease.
  • The Nation Needs You!
Grease: Radio is dying here in the Nation's Capitol. Please syndicate! Cerphe, Weasel, Don & Mike, and KML are ALL GONE. We NEED you here in the D.C. area, especially in these trying, depressing times. You can lift our spirits with your speckle, uhh, I mean, sparkle! Until then, I'm downloading the GreastCasts and playing them in my car, the house, the office, the park where Carlos the International Terrorist is standing over there... budda dow, budda dow, pow pow pow, ahhhhgggg! OHH NOOO!
  • My nephew
    Greese,
I think you might have left a son behind when you were in Atlanta. When my sister in law is asked about you all she does is smile and say she doesn't know what we are talikng about. My brothers son is a smaller version of "The dodad daddy"Even as a small child he had his own language and strange manners. Some of the things he does but are not limited to ,His favorite car is a mid seventies Biscane,he has a un-natural affection for livestock,he will take a massive anywhere , he speckles everything in sight,he cleans his hands and everything else only on the curtains and he as a kid was always hunching any womans leg he could get to stand still long enough.I thought you might like to know that in the furture when "The Man' is sitting on the yatch sipping a bone dry the next generation will have someone to carry on the tradition of "The Greese." Dont worry my sister in law denies any wrong doing so no-one is looking for anything from you. Keep up the good work and hang in a bit longer until juniior gets a little older to where we can put him on the air.
  • your dog!!
I say Greasay... RJ here.. I am so tired of your dog leaving HUGE STEAMING PLOPPERS all over my lawn!!!!
  • GreaseCast Tuesday August 34?

Your name came up from Florida and now to St. Louis I have streamlined rock105i. So far, so good. I asked a friend from Maryland that works in STL. and he remembers you from D.C. So--keep it up. You're impressing all the 50 states apparently.

I looked forward to every morning driving to the job and hoping I could get one of the machines with a radio so I could listen all morning when you were at the "MEGA MOTHER" DC101 and I was at JFC Excavating in Ellicott City. I used to laugh in traffic when I would see other people laughing in their cars knowing they were listing to the same insanity I was. You were the topic many mornings before we started, at 9:00 break and lunch. I am happy to have found you even though you are in JAX and I am in Pittsburgh, at least I can listen and laugh and it brings back so many memories of Maryland and D.C. "KEEP ON SHREIK'IN"

Grease its great to be able to hear you close to where I live. I'm in Ocala but have followed you since the 80's. Glad to hear ya in Jax. but sorry you have to put up with those pesky model airplanes, especially if they get a mind of their own. Just so glad that your still on the air. Whatch out for them dingleberries and let the dodads dangle in the breeze.Power to the Grease

I listened to you in the 70's over there on the purple monkey (AM), was stationed at Cecil and was doing my thing when I came home once you were gone did not know where to listen to you. Glad to hear an old favorite radio personality.
  • Greaseman
Grease, I used to listen to you in the mornings, back in the mid 70ies, on AM radio, when I was just a young sailor. Well I'm am old retired sailor now, and still love to listen to you. Keep up the good work Brother.

I listen to rock 105 in the afternoon when I'm floating in my backyard pool. I have to shut the radio off when the greaseman comes on. Was he ever funny or entertaining? I hope he finds a better job somewhere else. Thank you.
  • sweet

Man o man..Grease its damn good to hear ya back on the air. I used to listen to you on air in Phila on 94.7fm. back in the late 90's. I remember the times almost losin control of the vehicle laughin til the eyes go "squiiint" at what you called in an email a "curb jumper" bit.. the problem was I was rollin at bout 65 mph just outside phila going dis way and dat and the Phillys finest don't appreciate that kinda drivin.HA! Now I'm living here in Cville Va where the local radio news persons voice is so annoying that I find myself jumpin curbs just to drive into the RADIO STATION..HA..Now I listen to you on the internet..LIFE IS GOOD AGAIN..keep it going Grease ! ! • grease lol adamec hd
thanks for what you do. you have recondition dept. rolling with laughter daily thanks
  • From Childhood to Adulthood
I grew up in a strict Southern Baptist Family here in Jax. Of course, "back-in-the-day" there weren't as many station choices and for some reason my mother always had the radio in the kitchen on your station. The only reason I knew you were "risque" was because of how she went on about it. But she never changed the station!
  • Greasman sucks!
WTF are you guys playing? This guy has a dumbass accent, skits that aren't even funny (yes I get them), and is generally annoying. It's bad enough putting up with all the damn commercials stations play around here, but then you have to listen to the retarded radio "personalities" doing the same old rehashed crap all the time. Screw Greasebubba and let's hear some rock!
  • HIDEOUS!
    16 tons- Who knew..
  • Hideous!!
    16 tons- what a revelation!
  • Greaseman show
Grease, its great that you are back where the world can hear you, don't ever go away like that again
  • Greaser-ebonics
For the last 30 years I have been using the term Hobbin-Da-Gaga, and until I was listening to you last week I thought that I coined the term Hobbin Da Gagga
  • Greasy!
who loves ya baby...still never did get that 'swab'!
  • Welcome back Nino!
Grease! I'm so happy to discover that you're back on the air! I grew up listening to DC-101, and I cannot tell you how much I missed you all these years. Schweet! Can't wait to get caught up!
  • Seems Like Old Times...
Grease! Missed ya, buddy. So nice that the ol hydraulics are still in top shape. How is Mrs. Baumgardner? Rarely missed an installment of the 6 Minute Workout when you were on DC101 in the late 80's. Keep on slingin those bits. Glad to have you in range of the Golden Isles. Schweet!
  • Grease!!!!!!!!!!!!
Caught you in Ocean City, MD. many moons ago...Frickin awesome. I'm from the Baltmore/Washington area. You are missed by many. Just MY OWN thoughts, but MANY may say what they wish. But some can not even look cross eyed at others! Get my drift PEOPLE?! Long live Greaseman! My 1st Amendment will LIVE FOREVER! Now, read between the lines folks.
  • Miss You
Grease, you are missed up here in DC. You came here when I was in the 7th grade and I had tapes of you that traveled with me around the world while I served this country. Now I am relagated to listening to you on webcasts...Miss ya and keep rockin'.
  • Back to your roots!
I was born in Jax and grew up in MD (dc 101) so I have followed your career for some time. Glad to see you back in Jax!!!
  • the Greaseman
Hey greaseman. I just wanted to say that me and the hubby moved to GA from Maine back in Sept of last year. Driving around one day I came across rock 105. Now I have the channel preset to that station. The first time i heard you, I was taken aback and said to myself is this guy for real. Now we listen to you all the time. We love ya. So keep up the good work. A new fan, Donna Gilpatrick Kingsland, Georgia.
  • E-mail Song
Sometimes at work, when I get email, I will think of the song that goes, "E-mail! We get e-mail! We get your e-mail everyday! Ding-dong! Here's your mail today!" Love it!
  • Stupid
I used to like rock 105... Now that the Grease Man is on I would rather listen to country. And I hate country.
  • love the show all the way from Baltimore Maryland
  • Stupid Talk shows on the radio
While i love the music on rock 105 why is it that all the radio shows must have these stupid talk shows for hours at a time, and endless commercials, play the same songs over and over. Come on get cutting edge wake up!
  • 6 months later, Grease still goin' strong!!!!
    Long live The Grease!!!:)
  • Uncle Grease
I heard a "Greatest Hits tape" of you back in the 80's back when Robbie was your traffic man. Been a fan ever since. I listen to you now, online, from Iowa. Non of my farmer friends get you, who care I love it!! Keep on Hooblen'
  • Trids
If we step into the wayback machine I can recall a roomfull of teenagers back in the early seventies, listening to you tell the stoty of the Barf & the Trids. My kids and grandkids all grew up with that story.I dont know if you remember it,but it sure would be cool to hear it again.Especially with all your embelishments. Thanx for the good times! R.S.
  • Dude!!!
You're the funniest motherfvkr on the radio...Bubba doesn't even come close!!
  • Grease man
Considering the fact I wasn't born in Jax or until the late 70's, I never heard of you till now! What a riot you are, I love it!!!
  • GREASE IS THE GREATEST
Finally , some great funny, creative radio to listen to!! We needed it here in Cocoa, fla...where radio is only interested in the traffic on I-4. ugh !
Orlando radio sucks.....keep up the good comedy.
  • guns and hoses
Grease saw you having dinner with that cute blonde. Wanted to say hi been a fan for many years but know a man has to eat in peace. carry on pison Carmine
  • Grease
Everytime I hear you on the radio, I get the urge to purge, prime for slime, hot to squat, pumped to dump .... thanks!
  • Greaseman
Luckily I find idiosy and stupid humor entertaining.
  • Greaseman
Started listening to you on WENE (Endicott, NY) when I was in high school, followed you in Washington and then on the nationally syndicated show....Have just "rediscovered" you in Jacksonville via podcast.

    You are simply the best!!!
  • Greaseman is an international treasure...
    not just a national one!:)
  • Greaseman still rockin!!
You've got the best radio show in the business. DC101 was never the same after you left! Your podcast is great, but wish I could get it in the car. How about getting a local affiliate here in Wilmington?
    Keep rockin!!
  • Jammin in Belgium
I grew up around Jax when you were on the morning show. We would laugh all the way to school. Then I heard you on the way home on Rock 105. I've transfered to NATO in Belgium and we are jammin to your podcast here. You are international! I have people from all contries listening and learning to speek Grease. Keep it up! What happened to the Eigth Wonder?
  • Greaseman
Unquestionably the funniest radio personality ever. Needs to be syndicated again some more radio stations will carry the show. Streaming 105i is okay but I'd like to listen in the car without downloading it to ipod
  • Way off the mark--or on top of Mark
Maybe just a little bit Grease? The guy was a Dr.
  • Grease is the best
    grease is a national treasure
  • The Greaseman
The Greaseman is to radio what coffee is to A.M. We need him and Rock 105. We listen to 105 here in the triangle because of the Greaseman!!!!!
  • Punkindrublic...
What do you mean NOW you have to listen to rock? you should ALWAYS be listening to Rock 105!!!
  • Dang I hate being the last to hear of your return. Guess that's what a get for being an old fart; now I have to listen to rock. Oh well, WELCOME HOME GREASE!
  • Greatness...
I can see clearly now my Grease is here...
Been a fan since I heard ya on DC101 when I lived in MD...while studying to be an M.D. Talked to you on the phone several times and you even called my wife when we were prego... You are a Prince of a man...keep up the funny stuff........come see me in West Palm Beach
  • yikes
I turned the radio dial weeks ago, but just want to say that you are annoying and why are you here?

BudBudBuddyBudBudBudBuddyBudbudBudBuddyBudaBuddddddddyyyyy, To have the One And Only Greaseman back on the Air has made me profoundly happy. Hey Grease, Keep It Up.....I know you will. Best Of luck.
  • Viva Greasemanelli !!!
Here at Folly Beach, SC back in the mid-70s, we all used to listen to you (and others) on "The Big Ape" and the old reliable groundwave signal at 690 KHz still blasts up the coast all day long, but bereft of Grease. Thank GOD you're still around, Doug, scoffers be DAMNED! You're a true original, sir, and you RULED YEARS before poseurs like Stern, et al, ripped you off. You're the greatest!
  • how dare you put him on air!!!!
I will sue you! This man RUINED my life! He caused my house to be destroyed, my credit rating ruined, my family to disown me, and me to throw myself off a bridge- unfortunately I lived to hear the Grease on the air!
  • Welcome Back, You Deserve It!
Especially on a big signal like Rock105 & the Internet.

    You're gifted & talented, & I used to listen to you on "The Music Revolution" - 1410WPOP/Hartford & WXRK-Rock/NYC.

    Best Regards,
    --Jack

Grease, you ditty-boppin'g daddy, we miss you in DC.

Every morning when I deposit a big, steaming upper-decker in the porcelain convenience, I think to myself, "Grease would be proud."

Paging Dr. Blaznales! Paging Dr. Blaznales!
  • Grease is BACK!!! I love it!!!!!!!!
I think its great to have you back--I was listening to you back in the DC101 days! To the people who think this is a bad thing--get over it! You just need to take the pole out of your a**!
The GREASE is the MAN!!!! We love you--keep in rockin!
  • Grease Return
First heard you on the "Great Ape". Thought you were crude. Listened more and learned to like. Still crude but so what! I'd much rather laugh to tears on the way home than listen to stuff that I hear over and over all day.

One station I listened to, changed format. Started pushing buttons and heard a familiar voice, (second behind Paul Harvey, RIP). I'm glad they changed.
  • life long fan
ive been a fan of king greasey since he was on the monkey(wape)he's my idol and had alot of influence on me being the doo-dad slapper i am now......long live king greasey
  • SO glad to have you back!
greaseman.org kept me going for a long time. My favorite bit is powerboaters vs. sailboaters. Signs of intoxication: Sailboater = giddy laughter. Powerboater = VOMIT! Have a bone dry martini for me big poppa pump doodad daddy!
  • The return of an Olde Friend
The Good Die Young, Sooooo Uncle Greasy
You & I are gonna be around a Lonnnng
Time.. I first met you down on Hwy 17 when you were on AM 690 back in the early 70's.. Keep on Keeping on...
May The Forcr be with U... "Peace"
  • Grease is great
Jacksonville, the original, the best is back in your town. Grease, we miss ya here in DC! Especially on Kalorama Rd. Shweet!
  • Love ya' Uncle Greasy!
I don't know the exact year that I started listening to you. I was young & you were on the radio with Robbie Rose. I did get the pleasure of meeting with Robbie for lunch a few years back. The only exciting part of it to me was that he was on the radio with you. I remember growing up listening to you. My Daddy was a huge fan. He passed in 2004, but I remember he recorded a few of your shows. I fondly remember your "Lawman" bits, as well as, forgive me I don't remember the entire bit, but I can tell you it included the words "Wale-Tail Far Quar".
I am so happy that you are back in town. Keep up the good work! I hope to meet you someday! Keep the "Lawman" stories coming! They are the best!!!!!!!
  • Old School
Its been my experience that those that don't get the grease are either 10 IQ point from leasing a single-wide or don't have the imagination for abstract thought. I started listening in 94 and currently download the show so I can listen to it during my work day drive. I would schpeckle a Picasso to have him back on the air here in Atlanta.
  • You newbies should have heard the Grease when he was in his prpime during the disco era. I still remember some of his convoluted lyrics to the songs. Grease - do you still attract Zone 3 residents? Still lapping the tuna?
  • UNCLE GREASIE
Listened to grease since the 70's!! Dean, who doesn't appear to like the sound of greasedom, needs to tune in his favorite gay NPR liberal psycho-babble.
And leave the "real" radio to GREASEMAN!!
Can't get any work finished here in Cocoa,Florida...cause I'm too busy listenin' to the Greaseman !!!!!
  • Praises to the Grease
Love the show. My wife and I listen EVERY DAY.
  • My wife and I listen to Grease EVERY DAY. Such a great stray from the norm. Keep up the fun Doodad Daddy!
  • greaseman
Morning shows are for the morning, keep it rock in the afternoon.
  • greaseman
if i wanted to listen to a morning show i'd listen in the morning, which i don't, anymore. Rock is for music.
  • greaseman show
I think he's funny, but if i wanted to hear a morning show, i'd listen to the one in the morning. Which i don't. mark, Genny and Dommer was the best ever. Getting rid of them was the biggest mistake you could make. Now i only listen to rock105 from 1030am to 245pm!
  • how u been
was on your show dc101. I was the one who gave you the fedex shirt ;) good luck T Grant
  • Bud, Bud,
    Budddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !

  • fel sorry for tourists
feel sorry for people driving thru jacksonville between 3 and 7 . they hear this garbage
  • The Grease
Grease is great! never could hear a better show at a better time!! id even elect him for president
  • My life has meaning now
I'm 62 years old and have been listening to the Grease since 1986. He's a genius--sharp wit, thorough knowledge, fabulous way with words, marvelous sound effects and wonderful rapport with his audience. After we left DC three years ago, I thought that was the end of my daily Greaseman fix. One day on a whim, I Googled "Greaseman" and found him in Jax. I love the internet!!
  • Good vs. Bad
    @ Jizzle Vizzle

The bottom line is that we want to hear from you whether you agree with what we are doing or not. The only thing I want from listeners is that they care enough to voice their views. I don't need people to mark out to us. I just want people to feel that they have a voice with their favorite radio station.

Either way, thanks for the props!
  • Props to Rock 105
Salut to a radio station who posts the good adn bad comments. That is real. Keep it greasy dawg......
  • Where's the Rock
I leave for work in the morning and all I hear is talk radio on 105, I leave work to come home all I hear is talk radio on 105. This stinks. It is a rock radio station, so play rock
  • That Day Of Infamy (Or Not)....
....February 24, 1999. Driving down 395 from my then-girlfriend's (now, current ball-and-chain's) apartment in south Arlington, to my gummint IT contractor's job in Woodbridge. Tuned in 94.7 for my morning Grease fix, and wondered WTF was going on. Thank God and Al Gore (j/effin'/k) for the Web, 'cuz I've been able to keep up since. We pass through Jacksonville on the way to St. Augustine on a semi-regular basis, and I'll be scoping out the marinas for The Good Ship Grease.

Just so I can take an upper-decker in the captain's 'head'. LOL >;-)
  • DC101
Old DC 101 fan from way back. So glad when I heard Bubba tell us in Tampa that he would be on......F***ing hilarious What ever happened to Damian?????
  • IS THE GREASEMAN FOR REAL??
Come on Rock 105, Greaseman is an embarassment to our only rock station in Jacksonville. I have never heard such childish and annoying garbage on a rock station before. Rock listeners have class and we don't need our music interrupted with his nonsense. Thanks, but I don't have to turn the dial, I am listening to great music elsewhere.
  • Atlanta Listener
So glad the Grease is back. You made my morning drive bearable back in your Atlanta days. Looking Forward to hearing what Clinton & The Punk have been doing the last 10 years! That's a lot of bomb bay stretching!
  • LONG Time Listener
I started listening to Grease on the Big Ape when I was in the Army stationed in Savannah. Many years later, when I lived in Baltimore, my son became a fan and actually got an invite to watch the show one day at DC 101. Welcome Back to the Duke of Dangle!
  • You rock!
I have many fond memories of milk squirting out of my nose during breakfast listening to the show back in the day before school. Listening to you made me want to " STRAP ON A GUN, PIN ON A BADGE AND BECOME....... A LAW MAN" WELCOME BACK...YOU HAVE BEEN MISSED AND ARE A BREATH OF FRESH AIR FOR THE DRIVE HOME.......Thanks Uncle Greasmanelli......
  • Glad you're back!
I've been missing the show ever since that fateful MLK Day in DC.
Now we're both in JAX. Glad to hear you again!
  • FOUND YA

    Bob
  • Grease
I just discovered Grease is back. I am thrilled. I am from Jacksonville, but have not lived there for a while. I am so happy that I can listen to him over the web. We were all very upset when he left the airwaves in Atlanta, where I now live. I am sure he will soon become as big as he was before he left the air.
  • Good Memories
My god!! I remember listening to you out of D.C. when you were on 104 and on 101. It's great to hear the stories that I loved. Keep up the good work!!!
  • ALL HAIL GREASE!
I will give up my morning hobble-do-gobble with the ol' lady to listen to the GREASE, my gawd just when I thought that Armageddon was upon us with TKU (The Kenyan Usurper, aka Comrade 0bama), *ROCK 105* comes to the rescue, saving us all from certain death, destruction and boredom! I remember that Doomsday film Doug was in 'The Four GreaseHorses of the Apocalypse', great movie! Five Stars! Welcome back GREASE! na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-naaaaaaaah!!!!!! :)
  • Love the pod cast
The pod cast is great. Now I hear Grease whenever I want to.
    Good job!
  • Good Drive Home
I used to listen to Sean Hanity coming home from work everyday. Between the non-drivers that populate 9-A and politics, I was near homicidial when I got home. Now I listen to greaseman again after an all too long dry spell, and I just say F*** it to the traffic and enjoy my drive home, laughing my ass off the whole time. Grease, you are a great cure for road rage.
  • YES!!!
I'm a new listener, but I love this guy! His quick wit and uniqe references are a hoot!

  • Thanks to Rock105!
I just want to say a big thanks to Rock105 for bringing the Greaseman back to Florida and especially for the Greasecast. I've been a loyal Branch Doodadian for years. I live in Tallahassee so I'm a little outside the coverage area. But thanks to the Greasecast, I manage to get my daily dose of Grease!
  • Worldz greatest DJ's!
Howard who, Bubba what, Wolfman huh, the GREATEST of All Time... Da GREASEMAN!!! Nuff Said.
  • F&@K the FCC!
Funny you mention that man, because we now have a section in the rock 105 online workforce newsletter that the Grease uploads his dirtiest bits to! we call it XXXtra Greasy. every month we'll offer up a new bit the FCC won't allow us to air. all you gotta to do get your slice is sign up in the member center for the Rock 105 Online Workforce Newsletter. Grease is the best "shock jock" in radio history. I have loved him, I do love him, and I will forever love him. But his Daddy is another story. Love his dog blue too (even though he l h n doo dads...
  • 3 Decades of Laughter
I have listened to and loved the Greaseman for 30 yrs. He is far and above any other "shock jock" for entertainment. Time to Hobble, Wobble, Gobble and ......
  • Grease
How about the early years in Ithaca? "In the night time!"
  • You Suck
Get off the radio, I change the station when your show comes on.
  • Billy Powell
Please remember Billy today. A rock and roll hall of famer and life-long member of a rock group that put Jacksonville on the map. And one heck of a sweet guy. Prayers are with you. LOVE
  • GREASEMAN IS THE GREATEST
This is awful!! I can't get any work done, cause I'm too busy listenin' to Uncle Greasie!!! Listened since the late 70's on Jacksonville's big APE.....Great to have him back on the air.

  • Estelle
Grease. Long time bud. Used to listen to you when I lived in Baltimore. Sorry for the DC thing, f'em if they can't take a joke. Was wondering if you still have contact with Estelle?
  • Love your show man
I think my dad said he met you once, when it was a big secret as to who you were, or what you looked like. He said you went out in the ape suit for WAPE. Anyways, I really love your show man.
  • Thanks for the Podcast
We miss the Grease up in the Northeast, to thanks so much for the podcast. I havn't listened to anything else in weeks.
    AMF
  • Welcome Home
Swweeeeeeeeeeet Grease, you've been duly missed it's GREAT to have you back!
  • Greasy
Hey Dude- When I pick up my kids from school they always ask for the Greasyman radio station. We love you man. PS. My daughter is the one that asks first and she's nine. She doesn't understand most of it and I try to sensor bits. Anyway thanks for the laughs. We all need it
  • THE BOLDEST AND BULKIEST OF MEN
GREASE I HAVE LISTENED TO YOU SINCE THE EARLY 80'S AND I AM EXSTATIC THAT YOU ARE BACK
  • Grease is the Real Thang!!
Real talent folks!! Grease does it all and does it without raunchy curse words! I have been a fan since I was in high school in 1983. Thanks grease and 105!

grease i love you being back in jax. you are the funniest shock jock ive ever heard!
  • Re: Toilet Hummer?????
Maybe a Toilet Hummer is what vibrates the Toilet. Not sure if I would trust it though!
  • THANK YOU!
Thank you for being on the air, YOU'RE THE BEST GREASEMAN! Tata's Akimbo! lol
  • Greaseman
Grease, you're the most entertaining guy on the air today...
  • Old
So I hear a bit last week where Grease references President Clinton. He is obviously playing old bits. Why not just play his best of tapes and save yourselves some money?
  • Toilet Hummer?????
Can someone explain to me what a "toilet hummer" is???? Is it something you get when ten-hut in the bathroom?
  • Guilt
I sometimes act like I hate ya Grease because some girls think your crude haha. I'm a huge fan of yours and its very hard to betray you for a schlice, but it works too well.
  • Long live rock
Grease and toilet hummer went out with the 1970s. Lets play some classic rock and get back to music oriented radio. Don't wait for the next "book" to come out. Get back to the music or another station will be taking your spot. Even my 9 yearold things the Greaseman is "stupid - not even funny."
  • What The Hell are yall doing?
It was bad enough having to change the station when Bubba was on now I have to change it when that jerk greaseman comes on too. Thinking about changing all together and I'm a long time listener back in the 80's.
  • Grease and Bubba So much for Good Radio
BOTH SHOWS ARE TERRIBLE THEY SUCK
  • YOU SUCK GREASE
    Your show SUCKS !!!
  • GO AWAY !!!
I can't stand your show just play music. You Suck
  • Greaseman
I can't believe there are people with negative comments but did you notice the misspellings in those? Obviously too stupid to understand adult humor, You are still the best DJ ever.
  • LONG LIVE GREASE!!!!
Listened in ATL!! Yeah we STILL drive pick ups around here!!! Love ya man!
  • Thank God you're here...
The radio was starting to suck, too much 'new' classic rock (Pearl Jam? c'mon, we need more Grateful Dead).

Your podcast gets me through the shift.

And during the drive home you make the radio worth listening to again. We don't need no stinkin' CDs when the Greasecast is blessing our speakers.

Yabba Dabba Doo-Dads! Love ya Uncle Greasy!
  • Hey Greaseman love YA! but I need help trying to get signed up for Monster Jam. My 5 year old son loves to listen to you with me.It would be great for him to go to monster jam with you.thank's

Check the handle, earth-bound losers. I tune in every day from JAPAN, God give me strength. Greaseman is my daily three hours of antidote to homesickness, well worth waking up in the middle of the night. Except now, with podcasting, I don't have to!
    Thank you, Rock 105!
    And rock on, Nino!
  • greaseman

  • BEST PART OF YOUR SHOW
The best part of your show is when you play "Goin' Home" (your sign-off song). I only wish you could play it sooner, like @ 3:01pm daily.
  • Toe monster GREASE FOREVER
I loved him and he got me through the 80's. Now I have everything in life but had a void. I was on a search for Grease bits. I found you. Very wise of you to have the biggest cult following ever. Now my void... it's filled!!!

  • You're Joking Right? Greaseman Is Terrible!
Do you guys at 105 think listeners are that stupid? You managed to sprinkle in a few negative comments so you won't appear biased...HA!

I normally stay clear of 107.3 but you can bet I'm changing the channel during the Greaseman's timeslot.

  • Glad you are back
I use to listen to you when I was in the 8th grade......the bus driver always had the radio on WAPE back then. It is good to have you back in town.
  • Hey G Man
I know it is important to spin the wax but you do your best when you are cracking the mike. It sure would be nice to hear that mike rattle and roar more. I use to listen to you back when I was just 18 years old. I could not wait for that drive to work in the morning. Then you had to go. That was a sad day.

I know you use to be a law man here in Jax. DO you remember the 4 wheel drive posse??? I came in right after you had left. DO you remember the commader then and how he use to have this quirk about him????. Don't stop the madness G man..

    Welcome Greaseman!
    You're humorously entertaining!
Anyhow, I love your show; so, Keep On Truckin'!
  • Tapes
It really sounds like Grease is just playing tapes of old bits. Love you man but if this is the case, it's kind of a rip off.
  • when will you make some appearances?
Looking forward to seeing you in person somewhere in Jax. Anything in the works yet? I saw you once at the Comedy Zone years ago. You were sidesplittingly funny! See if you can get Rock105 to spring you on the public some time soon. Lord knows with all the financial woes these days, we could all use some good laughs!
    Joann
  • Grease Rocks!!
Jacksonville is one lucky town. In the entire history of broadcasting, there has never ever been anyone that even comes close to Greaseman. His originality, his amazing sense of humor combined with his never-ending ability to mix wry commentary with audio effects is truly one of a kind. If I had a dollar for every time Grease has made me bust out in a belly-laugh, I’d be able to buy satellite radio outright and broadcast Grease world wide where a talent like his belongs. Rock 105i – you’re the best – great music and Greaseman…Wow!!!

    We love ya Grease!
  • Greaseman
What we need is Nino on XM.
  • You the Man!
We all love the Grease, there is nobody like him!!!!
  • grease man
Hey grease I am a big fan I listened to you when I was younger when you where
here back in day. You where the shit then and you are the shit now. I hope
you are here to stay and none of those
hatter`s run you off. I like Bubba and
listen to him in morning`s but he still
would not make a pimple on your ass. You
are the best in the buisness keep up the
funny ass work as only you can. Your fan
    Stephen Anderson.
  • Greaseman
I turned off Rock 105 when Lex and Terry were what is said to be replaced by that Bubba thing. But I did keep Patty on in the afternoon. I love the Greaseman but please put him on in the mornings & Patty back in the afternoon. Send Bubba down the road somewhere. I was a BIG Greaseman fan in the 1970's when I was 14. Than when he was in LA playing here in Jax. I got his record album with his autograph on it back in the 70's when they would not let him be seen. KEEP the GREASEMAN!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Bone Dry
Woah! Grease - I wish you mass-emailed everyone to spread the news that you're back in Jax! Welcome home! Thank God I was driving through 104.5's broadcast area today on my way home from Thanksgiving with the family "up north", and heard a commercial on the radio. These days I live down the road a bit in Melbourne, but my internet connection is good. And I'll watch for your public appearances in J.Ville & take an occasional raod trip! I've (only) known you & been a fan since the DC days, but I've been loyal since and sometimes in the same places, so this is great news, Johnny Avocado! This calls for a celebration - bone dry martini, of course!
  • Good luck Florida
Surprised he's still on down there,,,,sure he'll kicked off soon, he is pure trash...
we got rid of him from DC101 again up here in DC....he's all yours

You need to be on the morning show.
  • Welcome Back
I'm telling my age but we love you back when you were on WAPE, I hope you get the morning gig, that's where you belong. I can't take Bubba anymore, too much crying, about as bad as lex and terry.
  • HEY DENNIS THE MENNIS
THE GREASE IS INCREDABLE! GO LISTEN TO LEX AND FERRY. THEY LIKE A WEAK MIND!
  • Reply To Dennis
Dennis, what's pathetic is that you are jealous, so jealous of Bubba and Greaseman, you gave yourself away by pointing out that Grease uses "Set Up" to get in and out of bits.
  • Greaseman
It takes no talent to be crude; the Greaseman can be hilarious without being outright vulgar.
  • finally rock105 is worth listening to
so great to have the grease back in jacksonville. now if we could have him in the morning instead of those obama loving dudes.
  • Cox radio is way off the mark
Bubba, what a moron, Greaseman...what a bigger moron! The General Manager needs to go and on your way out take these two bad decisions with him! I have listened to give you a chance but it is so obvious that you have certain people call in to help you lead into your next skit. How pathetic!
  • Can the Butt Sponge
Put Grease in the morning where he belongs and Can That Loser the Butt Sponge. I won't listen to 105 in the a.m. untill the Butt Sponge is gone and the Grease is there. until then it's 3:00 til 7:00 p.m.

I can not wait until I can download Greaseman Podcasts from iTunes or this website! Make it happen Rock 105! Pfft! Pfft! Pffft!
  • The Greaseman is Back?!
I remember well when Grease was the top DJ on WAPE back during my wild and crazy days.
I never missed his morning show and was disappointed when he moved on to bigger and greater things.
Rock 105 needs a media blitz to advertise "GREASEMAN'S RETURN!"
  • Greaseman
I have been a big fan since listening to you in the early 80's on DC101 when I was in high school in Baltimore. Man you are old! I think your great and I am thrilled that you are now in Jacksonville. How about less music and more Grease? Shreek on brother!!!

  • Grease Rules!
Grease, you're as funny now as you were in the 80's when I listened to you on DC 101. I could handle a little more lead slingin' though. I get Bubba on the drive to work and you on the drive home. Life is good. have a bone dry on me.
  • Are you serious
This guy is ridiculous! The Greaseman is the corniest man on radio. He sounds like the classic 80's radio DJ that other radio stations make fun of. It's really annoying to listen to Rock105 now in the afternoon, which is why I don't listen from 3-7pm. Find someone else because this guy is the ultimate cornball!!!! Horrible!!!
  • Greaseman
dont take this personal, as I am sure this is your skit you do on the radio, but you get on my last damn nerve dude, give it a rest on your crap songs. Bring it down a couple of notches for god sake. My whole office turns the channel when you come on the radio until you start playing music again. like I said I am sure you are a nice person, but WOW!!
  • Football
Go Vikes!!!! We can't lose to two Fla teams.
  • Bludey Bladay
At long last we can now burn irreplacable fossil fuels in salt water again... watch out sail boaters!
  • I Love You!!
    Hi Greaseman!

I just moved here from Providence,RI and I never heard a DJ like you! You are a breath of fresh air in the stagnant radio airwaves. You have a new fan in me and thank you for putting a smile on my face and a laugh in my belly!
    Love,
    Annie
  • KOME radio san jose Ca
a big fan since the days on KOME san jose. now i follow on the web. glad to see him back so soon in Atlanta. KOME is now owned by Greg Kihn KFOX
  • I can laugh again!!
Hey Grease, I used to listen to you when you were in No. Virginia and you made my mornings with your wacky humor. And I was on the list to be in the studio audience, but you parted ways before my number came up! Are you doing the live studio audience here? If so, I want in. None of the other jocks can measure up to your standards.
  • You Make My Day
Someone told me that you were toe taged on a slap somewhere. I called 1-800-Sweet and you answered the phone. I almost passed out. Thank God you are still with us and now I can celibrate the holidays in peace and thank God for the Greaseman.
  • Listening to Radio Again!
I'd given up listening to the radio. I was playing CD's to and from work. As luck would have it, I left my CD's home one day. So I tuned into Rock 105. And there you were! I couldn't believe it. When you left Jacksonville radio deteriorated into nothing worth listening. But now...I can't wait until 3:00PM. I tune you in and stay with you until 7. I won't be listening to CD's on the way home anymore. Yeah...Greaseman has returned!
  • Go Away
You need to shut-up and play music, better yet go back to were you came from, you are a joke..
  • MISSED IN ATLANTA!!!
remember the days of atlanta radio with the greaseman on there.. well, all good thing s have to come to an end....... I can always listen to rock 105 in jax.when I am there.
  • Greasman
Welcome back Nino!! Now my ride home is SWEET! Weather it's Sgt. Rock or the lawman you are STILL the best jock out there. Thanks for coming back!
  • Thanks for taking me way back
When you left DC again I was sorry to hear that but thanks to the web I still enjoy your bits. Sounds like not only in DC there are uptight a**holes but also in Jacksonville f**k 'em if they cant take a joke or are to stupid to understand. Grease, Keep your head up and keep up the good work
  • Glad you're back
My old tapes from the 70's have long ago turned to cellophane and magnet dust............glad to hear you again.
    Ormond Beach
  • Topicality
I'm glad i thought to look you up. I'll be listening to the show on the net.i miss the topicality. You made a perminent impression on my vocabulary. now that you are no longer on the air up here folks don't understand when i talk of magots ,snarlings, hobbledegee, gobbledegoo, brown cappin or speckling, i still wonder about that creature from outer spayayayce or songs of that georgia boy and how somebody been usein' that thing. I laughed so hard i couldnt stay on my feet.I am so looking forward to listening to the ring dang doo again
  • Podcasts PLEASSSSEEE!
If a couple of Grease fans can do it why can't Rock 105i? Add podcasts and watch the traffic increase on your site!

  • Glad to be gettin 4 hours of Grease a day again!
    Hey Grease,

After you left WMET, I was in Greaseman withdrawl, even though you're not with us in DC I'd still glad to click it!

  • Welcome, Greaseman
Glad to hear another personality on the air besides those tired DJ's of the other radio stations. Unfortunately I can't start listening until the 4:00 hour (the people in my workplace do not appreciate your humour). Now I can lmao on the way home. Again, Welcome Greasy.
  • Hello, ...Hobledagee
Alot of us in the DC area are now listening to "Jacksonville's" Rock 105 all day! DC/10-what?
  • Greaseman
I glad to hear the greaseman is back. I listened to him in the 70's on WAPE and even had his "album." Great to hear him again and I don't think he is a washed up hack I listen to him at my desk at work and laugh throughout the last hour of work and on the way home.
  • Greasemans back Oh Yeah!!
Wax up the Biscayne Oscar. Were ready to ride with the DooDad Daddy!
  • Congradulations
Much love to the man of a thousand tall tales. Thank goodness for the internet, so that we northerners can follow your exploits "A fan since the original DC101 Dayz". Long live Johnny A...
  • Podcasts
Greaseman, you rock. I've been a fan since you first were at DC-101. If there is any way possible, please get the station to put podcasts of your shows on this site. Thanks for all your hard work and good luck with your show.
  • YO!...Grease
Just chillin' witcha again here in the Hudson valley of New York. Funny....everytime I hear you speak, I think I'm back in West Springfield, Va. listening to you on DC-101. Sorry pal, but I just miss the 80s and Virginia. Keep up the hobble, wobble and gobble. lol.
  • Reply To Jim's "Can't Stand It"
Duh, he does use his "normal" voice; jealous?

Plus, he uses big words too! And he can spell. Unlike you!
  • PODCASTS!!!!
The Grease has sooooo many fans around the country especially in the MD DC VA Area. Some of us cant stream him live, I cant on my iphone, dont know why. ROCK 105 needs ro put his show in podcasts wether on the station site or the itunes store. PLEASE Put the Grease on PODCASTS. Thanks.
  • Can't stand it
Not sure how the public can listen to your voice, I CAN'T stant it, your voice, your jokes, your commints, I have to turn the station at 2:59pm, It might not be so bad if you use your normal voice, But the one you "try" to use just has to go, So, either change your voice or I find a new station, Or, how about this, It's a radio station for music, So, Play more Music......
  • Welcome back!
I can say that Cox has outdone itself by making this brilliant decision to bring Grease back. Thank you...Also, can you switch him to the morning slot? Bubba is humdrum.
  • DC's not the same without you Grease!
Thank god for the Internet- ROCK105i has a new listener in DC... that would be me! If you’re like me and you want to help keep the Greaseman shrieking… be cool and pass this link on to your friends in an email. http://rock105i.com/greaseman
  • grease
wow. i was mediated. cox still sucks. grease is still tired. hope middleburg kicks in for the ratings.
  • Music?
What happened to the music? Why does there have to be someone talking 24 hrs a day? Used to love this station for the MUSIC they played, now I flip channels trying to find a station that actually plays it!
  • Grease - Expert in Constitutional matters!
heyyyyy Greaseman... to celebrate you new gig, whaddya say we take a simultaneous "constitutional"? Good work Nino! You're already causing a stir... never heard such a varied collection of feedback from the maggotry! Regards to Irving Greasemanowitz, and his horse that didnt gallop... it schlepped...!
  • The Grease
Welcome back, it's been too long.
  • What!? No Podcasts??!
I love Rock 105 - Great music and...the Greaseman! Ya can't beat that! Streaming audio is great if you are sitting at your PC, but how about some Poscasts?? Even AM stations have podcasts ;)
    Pleeeeaaaase - PODCASTS????
  • Grease - you are in a better place
I live in Maryland, but I'm glad you are back in Jax. One lousy 8am-12pm Saturday morning shift @ DC101 did not do you justice. You're better than that. I'm looking forward to streaming your show everyday now. Get'em Grease!
Now, back to my 6 minute workout.
  • it's over
The 70's were great. The mystique of Grease in the studio behind the pool. The schtick is old and worn. Time to move on.
  • re: If u don't like the Grease
If u don't like the uncle Greasey u all can get bent u go Greasey i lessen to your on the way home every day,you keep me in stiches keep doing what you do. love it!!!!!!!!
  • Play some music
Wow. Thanks Rock 105, I have listened to your station since 1994 and I now cannot do so because you have infused politics into your programming in the am with Bubba and you have an over the hill DJ from the 70's in the afternoon who just blabbers incoherent crap. I can't listen to rock n' roll in the am or the pm now on my drives to and from work. You should change your name because you are no longer "rock" 105. I miss my local Rock station.
  • Hey Grease
Grease its great to have you back in Jax. You make me laugh EFD. I just wish you were on in the morning. Its hard to listen in the afternoon while trying to handle all the calls for service. These maggots have to call the police because they can't handle their own problems. The next time I have to answer a call during your show, I just need to run in and take a golf club to their china cabinet! Book Em!
  • This idiot
This DJ talks way too much and gives the worst advice I've ever heard. Is this what rock 105 has come to. You are forcing me to change to 107.3 and listen to that crappy station. At least while I am driving home now, I can listen to music, go figure, a radio station that plays music. Get rid of this guy he sucks ass!!!
  • I'm still tunin' in...
And lovin every minute of it!

    Schweet!:D
  • Podcasts?? PLEASE????
Grease! We love ya - out of the infinite number of radio stations there is but one place to hear you...Rock 105!! Sure wish they would post podcasts so we could listen to you all the time.
  • Impacting my career
I was an aspiring, young, wet-behind-the-ears DJ from WOKI-FM in Knoxville, TN, in 1981. I came through Jacksonville for a week as a Navy reservist and while here listened to the Greaseman. Wow! I thought you only heard talent like that at stations like WLS in Chicago. I've never forgotten those radio programs. It's good to see the legend return.
  • Greaseman
I love him! I never got the chance to enjoy the Greaseman the 1st time around, but we sure love him now! I listen everyday and am a more consistent listener since he returned. Before I would flip station on my ride home from work. Thanks to Rock 105 for bringing him back!
  • Making work go by fast
    Thanks Cox radio!
  • Awesome!
I listened to you when I was a teenager in Jacksonville! Welcome Back!
  • Hey Grease
Just me listening to your show up here in New York again buddy. Have a good nite.
  • Grease you still ROCK!!!!
Grease, glad to hear you are back on the air. Having to download your bits is a small price for all of the funny stuff you do. Thanks again for all of your hard work in making us laugh.
  • Getting rid of Bubba?
I stopped listening to Rock 105 in the mornings when you guys fired Mark, Jenny & Dahmer. I was appalled to find out that Bubba, "its all about me" The Love Sponge had taken their spot.
I have endure that man due to a co-worker's radio in the cubicle next to mine. I happened to hear an add that Bubba put on after his show this morning to the effect that he wanted all of his Jacksonville listeners to call Cox Radio and tell you guys not to get rid of him. THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN IF YOU GUYS DITCH BUBBA. - PLEASE BRING MARK, JENNY AND & DAHMER BACK! If they will come back after the way Cox Radio treated them.
  • COMING SOON: daily highlights, Grease's email link, and show notes!
    WHEN??????
  • COMING SOON: daily highlights, Grease's email link, and show notes!
    WHEN?????
  • 45
Grease glad you are back in town.I helped you with your 45 hand gun back in the early 80s at the indoor range here in jax.Keep us laughing and the storeys coming.
  • the "grease" is great
i have been a listener for years ,it's great to hear a master at work ,the ss grease has found a port in jax ,
  • greaseman forever
i love how the negative comments aren't filtered out, it gives you a realistic idea of how many people love the greaseman. so to all the naysayers... just change the station, cause none of us care about your pathetic whining.
  • uncle greasie is the only one.....
to my favorite radio personality that i grew up with...the only one who could get me thru school and thru life in general...
thru the 70's and the 80's...you are the best and always be the "LAWMAN" in jax. great to have you home.....
  • welcome (DAD)
Tammy and I were raised by you in the early years of the late 70's and all thru the 80's...you gave us hope and good advice for all of us to hear and learn by...we heard you were coming to jax again...we are all saying "welcome home dad". we have missed ya. now, we can listen to you online...WE ARE ALL PROUD TO HAVE YOU HOME IN JACKSONVILLE..
  • Your old Chevelle
Welcome back my friend. I might be giving away my age a little but I use to do a little work on your Chevelle when you lived in Orange Park. At least I think it was a Chevelle. And I believe you lived at the Club Continental just around the corner from where I use to work...a long long time ago. And I seem to remember a women driving your car with a set of fabulous 'Global Grandais'. She always got her windshield washed..He He...Welcome back again from a very old fan
  • You have a call
A deaf person's radio called. It said please destroy me, before I must broadcast any more of this crap into innocent airwaves. Seriously, who is this jackass and why are you subjecting impressionable minds to his buffoonary? Rock 105, go home look in the mirror and punch yourself in the crotch, because you have let us down. If this senseless act doesn't wake you up then it will be a painful reminder of what happens everytime we turn on the radio and have listen to this guy.
  • Oh Baby I'm a Redneck....
Glad to see you are still rocking the airways with your wacky tales. Listened daily in DC back in the day and am looking forward to streaming you again. Streamin from Philly.
  • Sad to see ya go, but glad to see you on the air!
Sad to hear you leaving the DC area, I was ever so bummed when you left WMET and DC101, but I'll just have to get over it by listening to you streaming over the web.
  • Greaseman
    Ya Hey Dere!

Your show is by far the best!
  • The Greaseman's Back!
We used to listen to the Greaseman when we were kids back in the 70s. We thought he was a riot. I had a cassette tape of some of his funny songs. I'm glad to see he's back.
  • Hey Nino
I remember the sad day you left WAPE. You played Happy Trails, Shouted out a hearty "AMF" and you were gone. I was a little teary eyed there for a moment. THANK GOD YOUR BACK!!!!! Just not the same though Argyle turned into Zone 3. I love your show, Keep up the good work. AMF
  • Thanks for returning!
Wow, I finally caught up with you again and can listen live from Long Island. You're the best!
  • SARGENT FURY
IT'S TIME TO GET SGT FURY TO THE RESCUE ! CAN WE HEAR A FEW MINUTES SOON ? WE LOVE THE MACHINE GUN RAT TA TAT AND BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR SOUND EFFECTS ! GO GREASE GO ! LOVE , LEON
  • return
I guess history does repeat itself welcome back Greaseman,,
  • Grease like one of the family.
There is a Radio God! I've been listening to you since your gig at DC101. I was very happy to be able to catch your live stream from WMET. Now I'm retired in Bkk Thailand and I'm so happy I can listen to you here on the other side of the world. Thai radio is just dumb and stupid with no talents even with the foreign DJs we have here. Glad so glad to have you back... your like a lost family member who has come back! Grease no matter where you go I will be a lifelong lister. I used to call in and talk with you and ask if you could play Led Zed 'Stairway to Heaven'. you would say... "Whos your Daddy". Grease your a DJ God! Thank you to Rock105i.
  • WELCOME BACK.....
Thank you for making the ride home (40minutes) feel like 5 minutes!!! Your awesome....and to those who don't like you CHANGE THE STATION!!!!! GREASY RULES ROCK 105!!!
  • You are in a better place
I hate D.C.....worked a few weeks in Jax and loved it! Streaming here in soon to be Obamaland.....

    Good Luck Nino
  • IT'S LIKE THE 80s ALL OVER AGAIN
HELLOOOOOOOO GREASEMAN. THANKS FOR WRITING BACK TO ME THE OTHER DAY. I APPRECIATE IT. AND YES, I'M LISTENING TO YOUR SHOW RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT. FOR YEARS AND YEARS SINCE I LEFT D.C. AND MOVED BACK TO NEW YORK, I ALWAYS THOUGHT ABOUT (AND MENTIONED TO FRIENDS) YOU AND YOUR C-R-A-Z-Y SHOW/PERSONALITY. AND NOW, I FIND OUT YOU'RE STILL SHREEKIN'. YEAH MAN!!! IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS. WELL, ACTUALLY, IT DOES.....BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. SALUTE!!
  • from the land of your daddy
welcome back greasy from the land of your "dadddy" down here in Palatka
  • HAPPY TO KNOW YOU'RE STILL AROUND
GREASEMAN, I JUST HAD TO COME TO YOUR SITE AFTER WE EXCHANGED E-MAILS THE OTHER DAY. DAMN, I MISS THE DAYS WHEN YOU (AND ME) WERE IN D.C. BACK IN THE 80s. THOSE WERE THE DAYS BUD-DEE. DAMN TIME!! LOL. WELL, I WILL BE CHECKING IN HERE OFTEN AND MIGHT EVEN CALL YOU TOO. AGAIN, SO GLAD TO HEAR YOU'RE MAKING FOLKS LAUGH. YOU ARE THE MAN!! SALUTE GREASE!!
  • bummer - you left DC!
I'm a MD native but I've been military for the last 18 years. Missed ya when I was home on leave. Now I'll have to listen to you online. Any chance of going satellite like on Sirius?
  • Grease Rawks!
Grease! You Rawk! It's awesome to have you back. I enjoyed you back in the day on WAPE and now you are back in land of the real man...Keep rocking...Nice catch 105...I am a rocker but listen more now than I have in a long time...Hobodegaga!
  • JUST HEARD THE GREASE
I don't know what some of these people are talking about, the guy can be pretty damn funny. I've been in crappy moods sitting in my truck waiting to go into my next job and he had me laughing out loud at some points. Good job! I've only known about him for 2 weeks.
  • Greaseman & Bubba!
I am a Tampa area native, and hearing Bubba made me feel like I was home again! I've listened since the early 90s to his crew, and love them. My whole family never leaves the station now, because we have Bubba and Greaseman to make every minute rock! Thanks for not being an MJ or Lex & Terry suck-fest station!
  • Somebody Stinks....PU
Man, my whole crew of guys here at my granite shop can't stand this guy, and for the first time in years we actually changed the station. The radio has an inch of dust on it because no one touched the tuner dial in years...UNTIL...The greaseman decided to irritate our eardrums with his fake, Kermit the Frog sounding voice.
  • Glad to hear you on the air again
    Grease,
You have been missed buddy. I began listening to you in 1982 on DC 101 and have followed you from station to station.
Even though I now live in Clint and the punk territory, my roots always lead me back to coolest town in the DC area.
If you read this little blog, how about digging deep into the bit vault for "Deep in the heart of Waldorf"

Keep up the good work grease..
  • You are Trying WAY WAY too hard.
There are most likely a select few who think farts and poo jokes are funny. You should have left those in the 70's. You are trying to hard to be funny, and you are comming off just plain stupid. What the heck were they thinking?
  • Bubba & The greaseman
I,ve been listening to rock105,Since it first went on the air. Then you Hired Lex & Terry,And they tried to psycoanilize thier listeners. Then you hire Bubba & his crew.First of all,Jacksonville built Rock 105,Not Tampa,Natives of Jacksonville don,t want to hear about Tampa,Nor the ramblings of either Bubba or the Greaseman(unless your about 13yrs.old)My Sister owns 3 Fm stations in other states,She has one person running each station,Plus the sales staff. They play the music,And do the commericals. They don,t carry on like Juviniles in heat. Please go back to what made you what you are:The Music,Not the garbage.
  • Hey- who didn't load monday's show!
    Let's go here.
  • Felt like home
We live in Riverdale, Md. I loved the Grease on 101. When you came back it felt like home. Felt like the 80's again! When you left it left a hole, twice. I'm the only cowboy left in this town (if you know what I mean). But then I think alot of places suffer this. -Keys were never used. Now you need an alarm system and thats not enough!
P.S. I didn't realize all the places in America you had touched.
  • Greaseman
Thank you Grease for everything you do. My hubby loves your bit's and I've grown to love you too. You are awesome!!!!Glad we found you again. Washington,DC Newman's
  • We miss you Grease!
Congratulations on landing on your feet in JAX! Hope it feels like home......we all miss you in DC area but wish the best to the greatest radio personality of our generation!

  • Glad he's back!!
I CANNOT tell you happy I am to have the Greaseman back on the air. I listened to Uncle Greasy when he first got started in Jax. The local flavor of his original show was truly magical. I was living in Atlanta when he came to that market. It definately brought a breath of freash air to Atlanta. Anyway, wonderful to have you back, buddy!!
P.S. I always thought you,d gotten a raw deal in the past.
  • Lucky folks in Jax
You all are very lucky to have "The Grease" in Jax. Even in the Chicago market where I live, we don't have anyone on par to the Greaseman. For those that are new to him, the man has a talent--give it a chance.
  • 105i & Sirius radio
I think 105i found an interesting way to compete with sattelite. I rarely listen to local stations anymore. Way to think outside of the box! Funny, my audio rack has a PC. Thanks Grease!
  • differance between...
You need to teach the differance between a throttling and a jap slap and when each is used..
ESTELL!!!!!!ARE YOU LISTENIN'? YA PIG YA!!!!!
  • Still there?
I have a bet going with a buddy to see how long he'll last this time....I think he'll get thrown off by Dec 1, my buddy says much earlier...place your bets

Good to have you back in town. If you get a chance, play "Tomcat Boogie" for me.

WOW Greg, he answered your call? Amazing !
I mean, like 3 people listen to him, of course he's going to answer your call...give him another month or 2 to make another racist remark, and you can talk to him all day : )
  • Nino Grease Minelli
ohhh man wish I could hear you! Just one sultry ssspppuuttttehh! DC days
  • He does it alone on the mike
unlike most others who have an entourage of people chiming in for fear they don't have any "dead airtime"
  • Greaseman
I grew up with the Greaseman when I lived in MD and was happy to see him back in Jax around the late 90's. even saw him at the Florida Theater. Everyone at the National Guard hanger hated to see him go. Thank baby jesus I had his CDs to tide me over. I called him last friday (10-10) and he answered my call! It was awesome. My buddies heard the skit he did for me and called me right away. Welcome back Grease!
  • Uncle Greasy rules! Great to have you back!
There's nobody out there like Nino Greasemanelli. Nobody's got his clever, insightful wit. He is the best by far! Everyone else is just a wanna be. I started listening to the Grease in 1976 on WAPE AM and missed him ever since he left Jax. No more Sirius for me - it's back to Rock 105 every afternoon!
  • G-Man
Thanks for bring the Greaseman to Jax.
    schweeet!!
  • Our loss is your gain..
Greaseman has been a fixture in the DC area for more than 20 years.. he cleverly mixes bits, 'theater of the mind', and music to create a unique personality that I have enjoyed for many years. Who needs the same songs over and over.. a Grease bit is perfect for bringing a smile to an otherwise dull day. If all you want is music, go to XM. If you want to be entertained with a spin on topicality mixed with entertaining little stories, listen and enjoy the Greaseman! Be careful though.. he is so addictive his show can be called 'Crack Radio'!
  • WHY???
Why go backwards? This stuff might have been funny in the mid-70's but in 2008 it's about as lame as the drivel that's on Bubba's show. Good music and a good jock are what you need. You got rid of an icon many years ago and have never been the same since. Thank God for Sirius.
  • So where are they??
COMING SOON: daily highlights, Grease's email link, and show notes!
  • what I llke
One of the many things I like about the Grease, he never feels the need to trash other radio personalities the way some others do. He should be back on the morning drive.
  • Da Greaseman is "Schweet"
I have never heard of Grease till I tuned in the other day and I thought this guy RULES! I listen to Grease every day! Even better than Bubba.
  • PPPPTTT PPPPTT PPPPPTT
I'm having a shuddering shangrila now that you're back!

    Any chance of a podcast?
  • Come Back
Grease you gotta come back to DC I loved listening to you every saturday Morning on my way to practice or games. Come on back man!!!
  • Comment On Snug Comment
Actually heard SRV a couple of days ago. Welcome back Grease...
  • Good but not great....
Been a follower of Nino since the DC101 days and very happy that he is back on the airwaves! BUT...1.5 bits after every 2 songs is too little. AND...Rock 105 really suffers from daily/hourly rotation programming (as do most stations in Jax) that is going to drive me back to XM. Ask yourself: when was the last time you heard Stevie Ray on 105 or any local station? Wake up 105...you are holding a gold mine and will blow it if you do not "recognize your customer".
  • Bud, Bud, Buddy!
Grease, glad you're back in Florida! We talked on your last day at WMET. I invited you to Gainesville to go "Maggot-Tasing". I have lined up some good candidates on the University of Florida campus so come on!
  • Grease!!!
my saturday morning is boring now in DC!!! damit man!
  • WHAT !!!!!!
I like what your saying, But I just can't stand the voice your trying to use, If and when you talk normal, It's fine, If your can't talk like a normal person I will keep turning to another station from 3 till whenever ?
  • Smegma 69
Welcome home Grease! Thanks Rock 105 for stepping up to the plate and getting Grease back on 5 dyas a week where he belongs.
  • Streaming
DjDonnyD, I don't know, maybe this will help. It works for me.
Try clicking on the play button of the player when it loads the 6 pm hour. It doesn't start automatically like the other ones. It took me a few trys to realize it was just paused.
  • Toe monster
    Greaseman
I ask if you would play Toe Monster! You said you would on another day. My dad heard your last bit on DC101 cut all up, he said you wont be back. He was right.

  • Welcome back Grease!
Glad you're back. Nice to hear the voice of J'Ville's first radio superstar.
  • SCHWEET!
I remember you when I was just a little squirt while dad was taking me to school. Now I realize that some of the things I still say decades later are really Greasy pop culture! Bubba doesn't come close. The Greaseman defines morning radio, but I'll take what I can get.
  • Glad you came home!
It is so nice to listen to you on ROCK 105, finally a dj that puts a smile on your face and makes you laugh without foul words coming from his mouth. Hang in there Grease, Bubba can't hold a candle to you. You are a legend. I just want to let you know how much Jacksonville loves you.
  • Great to have you back
The above bio states you arrived in Jax in 75. I could have sworn I listened to your comments about globous grandas in the late 60s on my way to school. Is my memory that bad?
  • Grease works wonders
In the Spring of '97, I put my wife on the phone, and The Grease "talked to the little baby" a month or so before my son was born.
He's now an All Star baseball, soccer, and basketball player.
Thanks to "Nino" I have all the other dad's patting me on the back.
  • welcome home
It's about time u got back to J-ville between u and Bubba Jacksonville will really rock again /welcom home Uncle Greassy-u-da=man

  • welcome
    hi grease. welcome
  • Good Luck in FLA
Grease, sorry to see you leave DC. I was flying around the beltway a couple of months ago when I suddenly realized I was listening to the Greaseman playing a Soundgarden song on DC 101. For a while there I wasn't sure what year it was, 2008 or 1995. Anyway all the luck and maybe we will see you back here someday in a drive time slot.
  • waaaaah
you will be missed on sat. morning
  • Love ya Grease!
I used to listen to Greaseman when he was on dc101 in Washington DC...LOYAL FOLLOWER! Glad you are on the air, only wish you were in Greenville, NC where I am now...but at least i can listen on the net! GO GREASE!
  • good to have you back
  • Greaseman
How old are you people? I stopped listening in the afternoons, all he does is ramble...
  • Woo-hoo!
    Uncle Greasy!!
Glad to have you back in town. It's about damn time. I grew up listening to you in the early 80's, and was sad to see you leave back then - then I listened to you in the 90's when you were here in town, and now we're glad to have you back.
  • Podcast for International listeners
The Grease is the best, hands down! PLEASE allow his shows to be either Podcast, or downloaded for us not living in the USA. I understand that you cannot stream the music outside the US, but certainly you can make the Grease's show available!?!?!? PLEASE!!
  • Rock On, Grease!!!
I've listened since you were in Philly, glad with streaming I can listen wherever you go. I sound like a stalker, eh? Keep up the sick work, from one radio dude to another!
  • about time!!!!--Thanks fan web site

Great to hear your bosso-basso on the airwaves again, Grease! I loved listening to you when I lived in the DC area during the 1980s and on line since. I'll be listening regularly from Arizona on the web.

    Thank God you're back!!!!!!!!

  • Welcome back
Hi Grease, Like I said, you're getting further away, but thanks to this thing called the internet, it doesn't matter if you're broadcasting from Ragnad's mother ship. As long as you're shriekin'. Best of luck pal!
  • A reason to listen to terrestrial radio again
I can't believe that I'm listening to the Greaseman again! This is awesome! I can't thank whoever made this executive decision enough.

I remember listening to "Nino" back in the early 80's on DC-101, right after Howeird got kicked off (no big loss).

It's great to hear the antics again. Can't stand Bubba, but the Greaseman rocks! Richard G. hasn't got a clue...
  • yea
just happen to catch you in the wifes car, she don't have satellite radio and what a surprise to he the Man of radio.takes me back to growing up in Dc and trying not to wreck the car because of laughing so hard.
  • A reason to listen to terrestrial radio again
I can't believe that I'm listening to the Greaseman again! This is f**king awesome! I can't thank whoever made this executive decision enough.

I remember listening to "Nino Greasemanelli" back in the early 80's on DC-101. He came in after Howeird Stern got canned for some of his comments (no loss). Even after I left the DC area, I would always check DC-101 any time I was back in town, just to see if the Greaseman was still there.

Now I have a reason to switch away from XM, at least for part of the day. Sorry, but Bubba sucks. And, apparently, so does Richard G...
  • DC
Walked in a store on Saturday moring and a voice from the past. Good luck and good to have you back on the air.
  • Welcome Back!
I remember you when I was a kid on WAPE in the 70's and was glad to hear that you were back.
I loved your comedy, What it is like to be a Law Man.
    Keep up the good work!
    Walter
  • sucks
heard the greaseman the other day. Need to start a pool on how long he will last? I say under 3 months. It takes real talent to suck that BAAAAAAAD.
  • Thrilled to hear you local!
Grease, I felt like a teenager listening to DC101 when I heard you on the radio last week.

I'll never forget being 18 years old and in a car accident with my brother. Our Dad was in the emergency room waiting room. I come out on crutches and a little later my brother comes out and asks how I'm doing. My Dad says, "She's just out here hobbling". My brother looked at me and said, "You mean to tell me while I was back there having my head x-rayed you were out here hobbling around?" We've never stopped laughing about that!

Your humor is one of a kind and I'm thrilled to have you here in Jacksonville!
  • Greaseman
I am glad you are BACK!
I like you alot better then lex and terry!

    KEEP ROCKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Greaseman
Excellent! Line up the Grease Podcasts
  • You're going to get me fired
I'm so glad to hear you again but I can't get any work done after 3:00 because I'm laughing so much.

Anyone that complains that they don't want to hear talk in the afternoon, all I have to say is: Aren't you sick of hearing the same old Def Leppard songs or the same two Who, Stones, Styx, Boston, Rush, Van Halen over and over again? From what I've heard so far it sounds like they are letting Grease pick some tunes himself instead of the usual computer programmed crap. Hey, Program Manager, these bands have a whole library of hits to choose from, why do I only hear four Stones songs when they have at least five times as many albums? Idiots. Even if I have to listen to Def Leppard at least I've got something to look forward to like; Waitin' on the bus, The hobble da gaga handbook, a trip out on the good ship Grease, How to get revenge, etc.

I don't know how you come up with this stuff off the top of your head Grease. The other day you had a caller and you said something about disclaimers and you must have fired off with 50 within three minutes and quicker than most people can talk. Amazing!

I'll keep listening as long as you are on, I just hope the hosers in management know that there is no one like you or that could fill your shoes not to mention your shorts with the eighth wonder and avocado size dodads.
  • Greaseman RULES!
I have always loved the Greaseman. I'm so pleased to have him back!!
  • UNLEASH THE GREASE!
    THE MAN. PERIOD. NOT COMMA.

Grease has always been a cool guy. I meet him three times, the last time at the World of Wheels in DC 3 years ago. He paid for his mistakes and he would help anyone in trouble
  • ROCK 105 finally ROCKS!
My afternoon commute is much better listening to the Greaseman.

As you can ascertain by some of the poor comments listed- fagatisim has been on the rise here in JAX since you've been gone.
Those of us swingin doo-dads will be rockin' on with ya!

Way to go Rock105! Greaseman started it all right here in Jax, and he showed them all how to do it around the country. Thank you for bringing Greaseman back to the people who love him the most!!
  • greaseman
PLEEZE get him off the air. What an idiot
  • Glad Your Back Grease
I was pissed when they took you off the air but it's great having you back.
  • Without Grease the World would just Rust !
"Give'Em Hell For Me Anita" made it possible for me to endure a few years working on construction sites near D.C.
I will never forget the laughter when asked my name nor watching men clamour to get to a house first in the morning so they could tune you in rather than Stern. Thank-You for letting us air your Bits of The Day on Livin_Rocks Radio. Kenny Killz about hit the box when he couldn't TUNE IN anywhere and yes I cried a few weeks ago at the thoughts of a world without Grease. So glad you are back to the grind!!! Bound by schreekin'and love!!!
  • TALK RADIO IS HERE
I thought i would never see the day this station would finally be declared dead and buried. Need to change the marketing to Talk 105. Better yet get Howard Stearn in between Bubba and Greasy during the day and call it the ship of fools. I think you helped me decide on investing in satellite radio. Face it, put a fork in this station, its DONE.
  • grease

I am one of your many fan that want to welcome you back, and glad you are back. When I would go up to visit family and would listen for you on the raido and now and then would find you. I have one question where is your closing song?
  • welcome home greaseman
it doesn't matter if he has straped on his gun and pinned on his badge and he has his 870 shotgun looking for the maggots inside the super market, or if he is on the good ship grease or as Nino calls it 57 foot of manatee chopping fiberglass he is back in the land of the real man, back in Jax, welcome home Grease please don't leave us again! We love you!
  • Great Humor!
    Hey Greasemeister!
I am so glad to hear you are back on the air! I used to listed to you in Los Angeles...and would frequently have to stop on the freeway so I could laugh without crashing my car. I remember your story about a woman who had a mouse run up inside of her...then when the paramedics came, someone was waving a fish in front of her....because a cat ran in after the mouse!! lol
Keep up the good work, and pay no attention to pathetic, humorless, jackasses like Mr. Loser "shut up" below.

Dude you must be massively old. My mom use to love listening to you but she's gone now. I remember when I was little calling your show to ask you what the 8th Wonder was, I was about maybe 6?
I'm 41 now, You got a little choked and ask to talk to my mom because you didn't know how to answer.
You were the 1st person I heard the word blow *** when I was little but didn't know what the heck it was, just repeated your jokes at school and got in trouble.

So how old are we greasey?
  • Convert
I never heard of the Greaseman until around monday and I love the show. Keep doing what your doing and I'll stay a loyal fan.

  • I'll Give it a Listen . . .
I listen to Rock 105 for the music. There is no rock music in the morning--just that mental midget Bubba the Love Sponge. Get rid of Bubba and put Grease in the morning slot.

    We missed ya!!
  • The Grease is BACK!!!!! Hey Bubba AMF!!!!
Are you kidding me? HELL YEAH!! The Greaseman back in Jacksonville and is the greatest thing that could have happened. But lets not forget that this is still the same idiotic station that got rid of Mark Genny and Dahmer for the no good two bit hack Bubba the Love Tampon. Rock 105 still sucks but I will definately be listening to you in the afternoons. Been listening to you since the DC101 days and look forward to hearing your funny bits and hummer again. Also notice that the haters have a hard time spelling. Retarted?? PLEASE; give me a break. LOOOOOVVVVEEEEE YYYYOOOOUUUU Grease!!!!!! Keep Schreeking!!
  • Good Luck Grease
I'll miss you here in DC, but it looks like you've gone to a great place. I know the people will love you, good luck.
  • BRAVOLINGUS!!!
    Zippity doo-dads to the Grease...

Liberals like tom and jim love to shed their "white guilt" for whiners. Poverty pimps like jessie jackson and al sharpten try to shakedown people (Imus) for saying funny stuff.
  • A real Lawman is back!
Jax is lucky to have a real Lawman back in town. He stands for truth, justice and the American way. God Bless the Grease!!!!!

Thank you for your style of humor, it is refreshing on such long days.

    Sincerely, JS
  • Grease
I have been following this twisted individule since his days in DC, funniest man on the air. I now live in LA and nobody can put me into an unrelenting stitch better!

    Rock on Grease!!!
  • Too much talk!!!
Get rid of Bubba's whining me me me personality in the morning(get over youself and MJ, whoever he is, Bubba and ENTERTAIN) and put the Greaseman there where he belongs. I tune Bubba out in the morning and want to want to TURN IT UP after work
  • WELCOME HOME
The good ol' days are back, now in the afternoons. Thanks to you I paid attention in Mr. Creaney's biology class at Orange Park High in the 70's. It's great to have you back home. It was a wonderful surprise when I just happened to pick up the newspaper Wednesday and see your photo and the article. Best Wishes! Denise L
  • WELCOME HOME
The good old days are back, now in the afternoon. I picked up the paper and was pleasently surprised to see you were back home. Because of you, I paid attention in Mr. Creaney's biology class at Orange Park High in the '70's. He would imitate you and tell "some" of your morning jokes. If you were not paying attention, you would miss the joke. It is great to have you back home. Best Wishes!
  • welcome home uncle greasie
  • the greaseman returns home!
I can not tell you how happy it made me to hear that Doug was returning where it all began, in the land of the realman! I am sure the Nino missed getting on the good ship grease and as grease describes his boat as 57 ft of manatee chopping fiberglass! love it! Well Maybe Doug would like to get together with some of his old buddies and head out into deep zone 1 ( the old zone 3 in his bits) and see what it feels like to be a real lawman! it was a shame when he left from realradio that he was on in jax last time. Please don't leave J-ville again Grease, WE LOVE YOU! And if anything Rock 105 you did it for Lex & Terry in the mornings, more grease,no music during his show!
  • Welcome to town "Grease"!!!!!!
I grew up listening to you on DC101 back in the day. It's a REAL TREAT that your back in JAX. We love ya Grease from St. Marys, Ga.
  • Welcome Back!
I am glad to "see" (hear) ya back in jax!
  • Welcome Back!
I enjoyed you back in the "old' days!
I am glad you are back!
  • Talk 105?
Your radio station is talk in the morning going to work & talk in the afternoon coming home from work. I get enough of that (idiot talk) at work. No thanks, I'll go somewhere else for Lynyrd Skynyrd.
  • Welcome back!!!
Dearest Greaseman, so glad to have you back in J-Ville, we need all the laughs we can get down here, and anyone who disagrees can kiss my grits!! I can listen to music anytime..., and your comic genius is much appreciated, so forget those punks who "just don't get it" cause they apparently never had it!! carry on Uncle Greasie!!
  • Welcome Greaseman
I've heard of him and now I get to listen to him. LOVE THE HUMOR. Hey, how about moving Greaseman to mornings, it would really start my day off with some good laughs, that's when I really need it, to face the day!
  • Greaseman Unbelievable
I have been reading these posts and some say exactly the way I feel. This is ridiculous, where is the good music. Does this man not have a "regular" voice. He does indeed sound retarted and his OLD fogie stories are horrible; in some cases darn right offensive. BIG MISTAKE!! Bring back a normal person and MUSIC!
  • Greaseman
Yeah! Hell yeah! Finally...some real humor I enjoyed in the 70s. Don't listen to the negative punks who don't realize what Grease is all about. Bubba? He's why Rock 105 seemed to turn into "talk and whiny radio"...too much drama. The Bubba Army is kindergarten bullshit.

Welcome back, Grease! Love you, Man!!!

    The Vixter
  • Welcome back
I grew up listening to DC101 in Baltimore then moved here a few years ago to be closer to my Mom The GREASE ROCKS lmfao Glad to see you here
  • greaseman
OMG, you kidding me, where are we, in 1950? Are Ritchie and Fonzie coming in as guests? Later Rock 105! Hello sports talk radio in the afternoon. Bubba you should be ashamed of yourself - if this guy wasnt on Rock 105 you would be ripping him a new one. What demo is 105 looking for 50 and over?
  • Deliverence (no pun intended) at last!
You look just like a hog....now drop 'em! Your gonna do some pray'n for me boy!

    Welcome back Nino.
  • Switch
I think they need to move Bubba's show to 3 and bring Grease back where he belongs; MORNINGS!! Its too early in the morning to get up and listen to Bubba complain, and his kiss ass employees repeat, I absolutely agree with you 100% over and over.
  • No Way
What, does Rock105 think that JAX citizens are less tolerant of racism? I cannot believe anyone would hire this washed-up racist....keep your lawyers close Rock105, you'll need them !
  • 1 DAY (CAN WE PLEASE HAVE DAY 1 ?)
    Hello,

  • The Greaseman is BACK!!!!!!!
Grease baby, I started in radio in the mid 70's when I was 15 in Lafayette, LA and a guy that used to do overnights at THE BIG APE turned me on to an aircheck of you and I was a fan ever since! here i am 34 years later doing my own show and was giddy when i heard you were returning to Jacksonville where it REALLY all began. We talked by email right after the DC101 incident, I just want to say that to the few idiots who have made weak attempts to blast you on this board are probably friends of the last guy that did afternoons there at Rock 105. They just don't get it...THE GREASEMAN RULES!!!!! Love ya brother, now you can show another entire generation what fun radio is all about...Go get um GREASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'll be listening online!! You are the genuine article my friend!

  • No more Rock 105 in the afternoon for me
This change is definitely a mistake. I tried to listen, to give the show a chance, but it is too stupid.
  • Great to have my Favorite Uncle back in town!!!
Great to have uncle greasie back in Jax!!!! About time we got a real radio show back in /north FL!!!
  • love your show
  • The Grease
yeah! Hell yeah! I had lost faith in Rock 105..tolerated Lex & Terry and all their idiotic drunk bitch Fridays..then came Bubba The Love Sponge with all his politics...What ever happened to listening to classic rock along with some real humor.

Good that you guys woke up and got the Greaseman back. Jacksonville needed some humor on the only classic rock station...Grease will add that needed humor we so need during all the politics the other guys bring. That's NOT what the listener wants. The majority of your listeners want humor that only Greaseman gives!!!
  • GREASEMAN
Welcome back Grease. Used to listen to you on the BIG APE Mighty 690 AM.

Want to hear alot more of the old classic stuff you did back in the day. Again...its finally about tiome that you came to your senses and came bck home.
  • Are you really going to post this?
Are you kidding me. Its called ROCK 105 this is not Captian Kangaroo. What childness. I only listened today to see what he could bring to the best radio station in Jacksonville. I was sadly disapointed.

I listen to Rock 105 all day long everyday. I will BE SURE to change the station promptly at 3:00 until you come to you scenses or have him grow up and talk to us like the adult audience that we are. Maybe he should job showdow with Bubba for a week befor you put him back on the air.

    Bad BAD choice of DJ.

  • At Last!!!
Bud-bud-buddy... Welcome back to Jax. Huge fan from your days on DC101. Glad you're on the air here so I can stop telling they guys I'm stationed with about this "whacky show" I used to listen to. Now they can hear for themselves. Hope Mrs. Baumgardner, Sgt Fury and the Good Ship Grease made the trip with you.
  • Greaseman
Welcome home! I'm telling all my younger friends about you. Love you, man, Jim at the beach
  • Greaseman in Jacksonville
I can't believe it! I can't believe it! I can't believe it! I lived in Northern Virginia for a long time and listened to the Greaseman for years. Then he was gone. I've used his bits at parties etc. and talked about him forever. I think he is genius! He is the funniest man to ever live. Now he's in Jacksonville. I did't think I would ever be able to hear him on the radio again. I will listen to him as much as I can. For now, as they say in oooooold Mexico City, AMF!
  • Greaseman
It was the greatest disappointment when he left us years ago. Now that he is back, it is the greatest thing besides bubba that rock 105 has done. wooooooooooooo GREASEMAN

Hey Grease, welcome back to Knuckle Junction. Town's changed, eh? We go back to '75 when you landed the WAPE gig, Then in '80 I transfered (Coast Guard) to Alexandria Virginia and was there when you showed up and went public. We met at the Coast Guard base DC101 Pizza Party. I still have the autographed shirt & Lawman album. Welcome back Jax & behave so you'll stick around a while!! Yeah, I'm a fan!
  • Now we're cookin' with Grease!!!
All Right, my favorite personality on my favorite radio station. This is better than hobble da ga ga with a fat girl.
I've been listening since high school (WAPE), then when you were here on 106.5, then over the internet until they blocked it (at work), glad you are back and on a station with a real signal just like the original 690 WAPE.

Welcome back. In your honor I believe I'll go up to the office and leave an upper-decker in the boss' personal restroom.
  • Old Station Promotions
Okay Greese. As it has been a while since you were here, how about a few memories. Dr. X, Larry Dixon, WAPE's Instant Ripoff, The Ramblin' Raft Race.

  • Welcome Back to Jax!
    AWESOME!! The Greaseman is BACK!!!!
You ruled the airwaves here in the 70's and I know you will do it again.
I even had your album - it was so funny - same as you.
Tear the town up, Baby! We NEED you here again!
    Welcome back!
  • Haba da haba haba
We missed you Uncle Greasy I been waiting for a radio station with "Nads" to bring you back and, the Rock did it. Welcome home!!!!!!! I am one of the owners of Wingman DJ Services and we still use Happy Trails to end all of our shows in honor of you. We'll be listening Go Get Um Pal.
  • Greaseman in Jax
Well, I for one am ticked. Grease in the afternoon in Jax? Where does that leave us listeners in DC? Oh, right, we suck because our local radio stations couldn't find any better time slots for a Boss Jock of Grease's calibre than a once-a-week Saturday morning gig.

Grease, we'll miss you, and I for one will miss having to dodge the Good Ship Grease as I bob in the Chesapeake on my sailboat.

Hope to hear you on the internet, and on podcasts.

Grease, you're the best! Good luck to you!
  • The Grease
Haven't listened to him since 1990 back in my DC days....the guy was the greatest and I still remember all the bits...wish we could hear him in Cleveland. The most entertaining guy I've ever heard on the radio - anywhere.
  • WTF
It makes me uneasy knowing such a bigot who has manipulated "free speech" to say such hateful things will be back on air. Even uneasier that you small-minded lemmings will listen and welcome him with open arms.
  • welcome back
Great to have Uncle Greasy back.
  • Can't Believe It
Due to our common love of your show back in 1979 I met the love of my life. WOW!! I can't believe your back!! This is just awesome!!!
  • ROCK ON!!!!
Welcome home......XOXO LOL P.S. Just like when i was a kid in the 70s.....
  • I'm inspired
I'm going to head out on the Good Ship Grease today!! Bleeda blodda blodda blodda....
  • Finally....Awesome
Great to have one of the few DJs back with original spoofs unlike the other copy cats. Awesome!! Also, there is not a racist bone in Grease's body. Peole blow things out of proportion. The ones accusing him are the real racists.
  • Glad to hear ya
Grease its good to hear your voice again. Used to listen to ya in DC now I'm in JAX and will listen to ya again. The only better thing would be to get rid of that hack BUBBA !!!
  • Hello, Lover
Can't tell you how glad we are!!!!
Love you and hope to see you soon.
Doc says he is ready to manipulate you anytime.....!!!!!
  • Greaseman
Let's all get together in Zone 3 for a big reunion.
  • Welcome back to Florida!
"I love the schlap, schlap, schlap of the doo-dads!"

Put on your memory cap, Grease... I'm the male half of "The last Seinfeld episode date!" Remember? You set me up with that "babe" in Baltimore in '98. I got lost looking for her house, arrived late, the food was cold, so was her heart, and her dogs were all over me! To add insult to injury, she had emailed you a picture of her that was at least ten years out-of-date, so she was actually old enough to be my grandmother! (The dead one!) Gee, thanks a lot, Grease! How can I ever repay you? I know... by finding a way to listen to you in Tampa... so let me go figure this out, and hopefully, I'll be listening to you soon!
  • Remembering you from DC
Always cracked up to hear those

    West Virginia tales!
  • Greaseman
Are you kidding me? Why not get Micheal Winslow from Police Academy and Soupy Sales in there too... to complete the "Suck with noises" trifecta.
  • You ARE the DJ man!
You are the best I've ever heard. You make me laugh even when I got problems, kinda like my dog does! Welcome home buddy.

Please drop Bubba, with his obsession with MJ, I turn it off everytime.
  • Poor Jacksonville
It's bad enough that he's not funny, and he's been using same tired bits for years and years and years...then you add his racism....hmmmm, how much is satellite radio?
  • Welcome back Greaseman!
LEGENDARY! It's great to have you back on the airwaves in Jacksonville and on the World Wide Web via Rock 105! YOU FRIGGIN' ROCK!
  • So, you found your way home huh?
It is nice to see you found your way home. We need more lawmen like you in Jacksonville. Love your show!
  • Wonderful world of grease
One trucker to a another welcome back, been long time coming. "listening online" from tampa.

I was in the Navy deployed when you were here last GREASEMAN. My wife tapped your shows (cassette tape remember that) and mailed it to me. All the guys used to gather around just to listen to your show. You had us in stiches and made the 8 month deployment more bearable. WELCOME BACK. and a belated THANKS

    WELCOME BACK, UNCLE GREASY!

I listened to your show from Day One when you first pulled your Big Rig up in front of WAPE! I was a regular caller into your show and your sexy voice turned me on many times. I was much younger then and was very embarrassed, yet excited none the less.

I love you, Uncle Greasy and I miss you so much. I am living on the prairie now in South Dakota, in the middle of no where but I pray with all my heart that I an listen to you on the internet.

Again, I am so happy for you, Doug.

    CONGRATULATION MY FRIEND!
  • Congratulations Jacksonville!
How lucky you are to have the finest DJ, The Greaseman, in your market. His humor and wit are unparalleled.

Best of Luck, Grease! You deserve it.

-Mark & Maggie (somewhere on the boat..)
  • Welcome Back
I always knew you would come back. Look out Jacksonville this man behind the mike is going to blow up airwaves. I dont believe it. Its the best news in years. The economy and everything else is going to have to take a backseat for a while...cuz this news is going to tie up the phones for weeks.
  • Awesome
I have not listened to Rock 105 for some time now. Bubba is horrible. I WILL BE LISTENING WEDNESDAY! The Grease is back!!!
  • Welcome Back
I am glad to hear of your return, when i was growing up, my mother would always turn off the radio when you came on, she said i could not hear you, well now i am 40 years old, and damn proud to hear ya......

  • Greaseman!
The Greaseman is the BEST!!! THE VERY BEST!!! You are very lucjy.
  • Uncle Grease!
The only better news than the Greaseman coming back to afternoon radio would be to have him in the morning! I suggested it when Lex & Terry left. It would have been great to slip him in while those 2 were in the no-compete dead zone. I used to listen to the Grease every day at work. He was so funny I almost had to invest in Depends! Welcome home, old friend!
  • GREAT!!!
The Greaseman's back home!! How very very wonderful!!

    Smart choice Rock 105!
  • Uncle Nino Greaseminilli
Now were talking some real radio....The Godfather of Shock DJ....You will now have a new/older listener back in the afternoons.....Doug Tracht is it when it comes to comedy DJ's...no one else is even close......Send clem a packin....Grease Rulz

Grew up in NY listened to the greaseman in the early 90's his stories are hysterical with the sound affects so bizzare ! Great to have him back, I live in Tampa I will listen online till you{cox} drop cowhead..couldent come soon enuff!
  • Put Bubba to the curb,...please?
Congrats for your brilliant choice in the afternoon time slot with the Greaseman! However, myslef and many of my friends have left Rock 105 behind since the addition of Bubba. How about losing all the trash talk in the morning and playing some classic rock. I never thought that I would miss Lex and Terry but they would be music to my ears compared to the waste-of-space named Bubba!
  • Thank God he`s back in the land of the real man. bubba on the way to work and Uncle Greasy on the way home don`t get any better than that
  • Welcome Back Nino Greaseminelli
Outstanding! Hope you have a podcast available for us to hear. I had him on my station in 2002 and he sounded great. To all the Grease-haters, give him a second chance,
  • GREAT NEWS!
I hope I can get a podcast here in Central Florida. It's great that you guys gave him a chance to return to his hometown. Save a spot at Mayport for the "Good Ship Grease." To all the haters, I have a question. "Have you ever gotten a second chance?" If so, don't you think he deserves one, too. Don't judge before you hear him again.
  • podcast?
Please podcast the show. Its been almost a year since I've heard any real amount of the greaseman
  • Pffft Pffft Pffft
Hurray for Uncle Greasy comin back home to Jax. I remember his show here 10 years ago on Real Radio 106.5. All our radios here at work will be tuned in to Rock 105 at 3:00pm. AMF

Your in store for a hell of a ride J'ville, Get ready for the ring dang doo.
  • What are you guys thinking?
I am a huge bubba "Mark",and usually listen to Rock 105 all day but now I will switch the dial at 3pm.The Greaseman does not represent your target audience as I am a 30 something female. You guys should have thought this one through!!!!
  • The Greasemans Back
I'm ironing my Black Slacks as we speak. The mop bucket is filled with chili and Mrs. Baumgardner is cleaning the ivories. Don't forget to invite Clinton and the Punk.
  • Grease
Fantastic! I have been a fan since 75'. Now I have a reason to start listening to Rock 105 again. It won't be long before you will be back in the morning slot where you belong. Bubba who? Welcome back, Grease!
  • Grease
Well done. My favorite personality. I will never forget his first day on air in 1975.
  • It's about time
Finally I have a reason to tune in. Bubba in the morning and Grease in the afternoon. Let's work on the song lineup...please...I can't bear to hear the same VH song again when there are so many other great ones to choose from.
  • PLEASE Podcast the Grease!!!
I'm a BIG Grease fan up in in Central VA. I know that's way out of the Jacksonville advertising area, but any chance you guys can podcast the Grease show? You'll have fans worldwide!!
  • Thrilled
I was tickled to hear that Uncle Greasy has returned to our local airwaves. I hope we'll get the same unfiltered Grease that became a legend here and not the PC version. Welcome home, Doug!
  • Greaseman!
I will be turning the dial right after Bubba and not turning back again until the next day again for Bubba!Bad choice Rock 105.
  • We knew it was coming
Uncle Greasy.... Glad your back in the Land of the Real man. But I don't think he will be going into Zone 3 anytime soon.

  • Great news during these stressful times
Finally, REAL RELIEF for the bad economic and political news out there!

Thanks to Cox Radio for bringing the "doo-dad daddy" back to Duval County (even if it's via satellite!).

I hope you do a better job with it than those goons at "Real Radio 106.5" about 10 years ago when they flopped with it.
  • Good job, Rock 105
I used to listen to Grease waay back in the day on "The Mighty 690 WAPE", and spent the day at school rehasing his bits with my friends. To have him shrieking in Jacksonville again is completely epic.

I listened to Grease on "The Mighty 690, WAPE" wwwaaayyyy back in the day before school, and spent the day rehashing his bits with my friends. To have "The Doodad Daddy" back in J'ville is epic. Way to go, Rock 105!!!!!
  • Been a long time
Listened to you in Mayport in the '70s. REALLY enjoyed your show. I've quite listening to Bubba. He's become a disappointment with the Obama politicking. Hopefully you'll stick to humor and classic rock that we enjoyed in the day.
  • Happy
I'm so happy to have the greasman back in Jax's he is the best.
  • Grease Man is Back!
Glad to hear you are coming back, I hope you pick up the Tampa market soon! I was a listner from back in the DC days and heard Bubba annouce your return today! Glad to have you back!
